Went to one of those just after I graduated from college. A few of us went to gas station and bought a few cases of beer. We sat out in the parking lot and got drunk. Brides parents got pissed but didn't say anything to us. The party was in the parking lot then soon after a local bar.

Just plain wrong. I got married a little over a month ago, had a full Catholic ceremony, and there was no way we weren't going to have an open bar after making folks sit through mass. As others have said, it's rude.
