And to be clear on my end, it's not a conference thing when posting numbers...
It's a talent in the region thing...what states make up the conferences - and the talent those states produce and are staying at home to play in their conferences - is the reason for the numbers (not the names on jersey's or the name of a conference).
Like I said, these are fun and interesting discussions IMO.

This tells you so much.
1) Where the NFL is trending (passing league)
2) What positions that GMs think they have to build their franchise
3) There is a plug and play mentality when it comes to tailbacks. Right now in the NFL, the name on the jersey isn't as important as the system in place when it comes to running the football.
Defensively, it's about cleaning up plays (LBs) and pass rush (DT/DE).

After a full 4-5 classes, I think that number is likely a little different (as we thought the Sunshine state had a special class of kids in 2011).
I've always said I think some states have a special year/class with a number of those level prospects - with the understanding guys still have to maximize their ability/develop and nothing is guaranteed, as well as injuries, misses, etc... - in 2014 Virginia and Louisiana have a real chance IMO (Florida, California and Texas can be considered special every year just because of the sheer #'s produced)

It's a throw it, protect, rush it and cover it league for sure.
