  • There is no way I'm taking Murray over Tyler Wilson. I think if this is based off of projected statistics then yes Murray has the potential to put up huge numbers against that schedule but that certainly doesn't mean he is the best quarterback in the league.

    I LOVE UGA

  • Also not sure about the Honey Badger being first team all SEC CB. The kid makes plays and flat out balls but I think there has to be some pure cover corners better than him. Marcus Roberson from Florida might be one or one of Alabama's CB's imo.

  • So, the Bednarik award winner, for best defensive player of the year shouldn't be first team ALL-SEC?

Honey Badger is on of the bast playmakers in the game which should give him a first team nod. His pure cover skills were exposed in the BCSCG however so I can see how there are mixed opinions... Probably just one bad game, but if you're gonna have a bad one that shouldn't be it.

so the nations best defensive back, the jim thorpe award recipient, should lose out as the nations best defensive player to a player that plays, you guessed it, defensive back?

citing college football awards is just ignorant. they are very subjective and inconsistent.

but yes, i believe TM should not be first team all conference. thanks for your knowledge and insight

Claiborne was the best defensive back in college football last year, so yes he won the Thorpe Award. Doesn't mean that he was more impactful on the defensive side of the ball as Mathieu though.

I know that as Alabama fans, we love to beat the drum of Mathieu getting beat in the BCSCG a couple of times on deep passes as reason to why he is not a good DB, but give a little credit to the QB and WRs as well. There probably wasn't a corner in college football that could have played those plays any better. Good routes and perfect passes will beat great coverage.

i think justin hunter is the best WR but you never know with the acl

i think lester should be first team safety, fluker second team tackle, and jesse williams is second team tackle

totally agree with you about Hunter - if he comes back healthy he is the best WR in the conf in my humble opinion

Easily, best D tackle in the conference. /inb4JesseWilliamsisGOATDT

Also agree Honey Bun as 1st teamer is a joke, he isn't even the best CB on his own team. Great playmaker, marginal CB. LSU will be at their best on D when he can play as the nickelback because he coverage ability is very, very poor. Putting him on a #1 or 2 is a big weakness.

    Switch Nico and CJ Moseley.
