There are fans of other sports who have never visited the home city of the team they pull for let alone attended a game but they are fans none the less. The "sidewalk, Tshirt," comments are about as relevant as those making them...

I don't really care who you root for but I will say I hate people that like the Lakers and Yankees (I mean they like both of them). That just screams bandwagon.

What about not being a fan of the school you attended? I spent 2yrs at UCLA, but I transferred to play football and completed my undergrad at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. My MS and PhD are both from University of Houston. I couldn't even tell you who the current coach of Cal Poly SLO or Houston is.
