And Nova agrees to pay the fine! But honestly this is another reason the nfl sucks. I'm sure Adidas will slip him the 10k but dood is sponsored by them and can't wear there stuff to a news conference because its not Nike?

He knew the rules and chose to break them, I don't feel sorry in the least for him. This on top of him being a rookie and crying about teams playing dirty. He needs to grow up and realize that rules apply to him. I hope next time they fine him 50k.

Not defending RG3 brah and what he did and didn't do. I just think it's a stupid rule. Johnny football should be able to wear whatever he wants when he gets to the nfl without getting fined.

He'll have his own brand by then IMO, which will probably sponsor the entire NFL.

  • Kirk Cousins' apparel, though less flashy, is far superior overall.

    Final Countdown

  • Its not the NFL's fault...I am sure their contract with Nike says that players can only wear Nike apparel during official NFL stuff. Why else would a company pay to have the rights to make all of the NFL stuff if the players could wear what they wanted?

  • Eh... it's part if the uniform. Do you think that McDonalds employees want to wear those crappy shirts? I'm not going to feel bad when millionaires decide not to follow the rules.

  • Don't really care either way. Adidas is his sponsor, but Nike is the NFL Sponsor. Adidas will pay the fine for RG3, so I really don't see who the NFL thinks they are hurting with this measly fine.

    RG3 is so awesome.

Not really, he's a cry baby. He has a ton of talent, but he intentionally broke the rules, and he flat out lied when he accused players of taking cheap shots on him.

    Yep

Nobody should feel bad for rg3. This is completely premeditated by Adidas and they will be picking up the tab if not more

I don't feel bad for him, like I said I'm sure Adidas will pay it. I just think the rule is stupid. It's not like he wore and Adidas uniform on game day. Dude didn't play and showed up to the game repping his sponsor and got fined, IMO that's stupid.

You really need to get over that RG3hate he has his team at 8-6 w/ the possibility of a playoff berth...unlike Tannehill whom nobody even cares to talk about.

  • Who cares? RG3 is probably one of the most overrated, overhyped players in the NFL. He gets injured and Kurt Cousins has more passing yards than RG3 had all year, which is more proof the Redskins success is not because of RG3

  • Non story here. He broke the rules on purpose and is paying for his consequences. 10k is nothing to him.. He makes that every time a commercial of his is aired.

He makes about 10x that each time a commercial is aired. He probably pulled that 10k right out of his pocket and threw it on the ground at their feet.

Yea, Cam isn't shit compared to RG3.

Yet Cam will statistically be the greatest quarterback in NFL history after two years. More passing yards than any quarterback in history of NFL after his first two years. More rushing yards than any quarterback in NFL history after first two years. 2nd or 3rd most passing touchdowns in history after first two years. Most combined touchdowns between passing and rushing of any quarterback in history of NFL after first two years

RG3 wont break any of those records and only wishes he could be like Cam

Oh, well I guess that makes it okAy for him to blatantly break the rules and lie then. No, no it doesn't. You bring up Tannehill and use a defacto argument because you have nothing on his moral character. Griffin blatantly broke the rules, he should be fined at least a weeks pay.

I didn't say anything about Tannehill.

Griffin can be fined as much as the NFL wants to fine him. Adidas will just pay it for him, and probably pay Griffin for bringing attention, which is what they want RG3 to do.

Nothing wrong here. Win/Win for RG3.

RG3 is a high character guy. He is very respectful to others, intelligent, and just a nice guy all around. He is impossible to hate unless you are USMCAG.

So he didn't blatantly break a well know league rule? Because people of high moral character don't do that. It was a Hurricane fan that said something about Tannehill, I apologize.
