    Why? We already know there was wrong doing going on by him. With the way the NCAA is punishing now it was known something was going to happen to him. Clint Hurtt will be next.

    I am not talking about your post. You seem to be a gracious exception. The comment was directed towards all of the Miami fans on here and elsewhere that said Shapiro was simply lying--when the Shapiro report came out before--and there are some that still proclaim Miami's innocence.

  • He ran a ponzi scheme, of course he was lying. Not everything was a lie, we know that cause of the suspensions. But even if half was true, it still has to be proven..and
    Not by yahoo! . We have sanctions coming, but not PSU sanctions like many are hoping for. I don't understand why people want to see schools and kids get hammered. Hammer the violators not the innocent.

    I guess that sentiment was only whispered about a few years ago when USC got hammered.

    Miami deserves to get their balls cut off for what went on under that dead fat POS's watchful eye as Miami's AD.

    If this happened at any other school the fans would all act the same way. Don't act like the Miami fans react different than any others when it come to something like this. See AU and PSU recently.

    Well, I don't think Miami will get PSU sanctions, but it all depends on what they find. The school has to get hit because they directly profited from the efforts of those individuals who commited the violations. The kids there don't get hammered directly because they are allowed to leave without losing eligibility. If they decide to stay, that's their decision.

    Clint Hurtt should be resigning soon as well. Could Miami's Coach Barrow have a hot seat as well?

  • I believ Coach Barrow is fine, if there was any truth to that last yahoo! Article he would be gone already. You have to take the articles for what they are worth..and they have to be proved. If the NCAA investigated any school I'm sure they could did up something. The players last year thy got suspended combined got less than 2k, that's a lot

    I think it was the part about sweater best knowing about it and doing the ol' JoPa. Sweater got dealt with like he should have been, bowl ban wasn't warranted. IMO

    Yup, and its a double edged sword. Either you knew and were cheating, or you should have known and are incompetent. Either way NCAA is going to punish you. My opinion on the matter is you should go ahead and give yourself another bowl ban this year(before the season starts), I'm not sure how much credit you're going to get for last year.

    +1....I think If a bowl ban would have been handed down it shoulda been last year seeing as Boom Herron, Posey, Mike Adams, etc were actually on the team so it would have punished the "offendors".

    Instead, the NCAA chose to punish the kids this year who really had nothing to do with it.

    Tress deserved what he got, we deserved scholly limitations, but i really wish they would have not let the players who actually did the wrong skate last year (and they actually let them skate twice if you think about it. They got to play in the Sugar Bowl and Gator Bowl, while the current kids get banned for their mistakes).
