I'd sum up my objection by saying college scholarship players shouldn't have to look down at the color of their jerseys to be able to tell if they're doing it right. I get the motivation factor, it just seems a little too obvious.

It means no one on your team knows what its like to play like a champion so the staff has to spoon feed them. If you have to have a shirt color on to show you're the standard you are probably not the standard. Imagine college Tebow, showing up an hour early, leaving late and working like a mule while he's there. You think he needed a green jersey?
