I know it is a hypothetical, but I have a strong feeling USMCAG would have an objection to it. I'll use a different example. USMCAG, what are your thoughts on the people of a state deciding that they will recognize gay marriage. I assume you applaud their efforts to decide for themselves and respect the sovereignty of that state?

I think states should have the right to do what they feel necessary within certain boundaries. That's just me though, I want as little amount of government possible.

But it's not the official language of the United States - there isn't one. Therefore, there's absolutely no requirement that official government functions be carried out in English. Don't avoid the question: would you have a problem if the majority had voted that only Spanish could be spoken?
