I had an even greater loathing for the Dead for the same reason. Difference is that I could at least appreciate the Dead. I actually dig a handful of their songs. But Dave's mewling, warbling voice seriously drives me batshit. Every single song is "Crash" to me. Hackneyed saccharine pseudo-hippie-pop torture.
