B1G Championship Game LULZ

What does that have to do with moving the games to NFL stadiums at neutral sites? And it just seems odd to use Stanford's inability to fill its stadium for a CCG (or any school that cannot sell out its home stadium ever) as the measure of whether schools like Michigan and Texas and Nebraska and FSU can do so. I promise you, every B10 home stadium would sell out for a B10CCG. I cannot speak for other conferences, but moving those games to Indianapolis in the B10 hurts attendance, it doesn't help attendance. It's dumb.

Absolutely. Even NW or Indiana would sell-out their tickets if they were hosting the title game.... Ticket prices would easily eclipse $1000 if the game was in Lincoln or Madison this year.

I think the location of this game has as much to do with it as anything... If it were in Chicago, I bet it would be close to sold out even in the cold. Chi-town is only a 50 minute flight from Omaha, and a 2-3 hour drive from Madison? Most fans could make that trip the day of the event, and wouldn't even need to spend the weekend in town if they didn't want to. That would be a much better situation to go to a game on short notice for people like me who have a job & school.

It'll be interesting to see how much the B10 rotates the site of the title game after having poor attendance last year, and probably again this year.

From what I've heard from some friends who are in Indy, there seems to be plenty of other Husker fans in town. Maybe it will be a lower number than most people would expect from NU fans, but a decent showing no less. We'll see soon enough.

No, the INS isn't chasing him; Taylor Martinez just runs like that. . . .

  • If osu wasn't such a dirty program and could play in the game I promise it would be a sellout

  • Wow, that is EMPTY. Delaney better be rethinking putting it in Indy again. HA.

Both teams wear red, and there is still more blue in the stadium. Thats sad.

I'm not sure why Nebraska fans would be upset here. They actually earned their spit in the CG, obviously Wisconsin is just an average team who benefited from other teams having off field issues. Of course I guess Nebraska also benefited from this because now they get to play average Wisconsin instead of having their doors blown off by OSU again. Either way both of you better enjoy your shot at a big ten title, even if you know you're really only the second best team regardless of who wins tonite. OSU has now served their debt to the NCAA and will be back to dominate the conference again.

You're running out of material man, that joke got used by a Buckeye A few threads down. Still happy to be in the position we are in. We earned it off the field, definitely earned it given the circumstances. If we win tonight, and I'm not that stupid to acknowledge its a big ifBuckeye fans are the only ones who are going to be complaining "Well.... They didn't really earn that third championship! We totally would've won if we got the chance" If ifs and buts were candies and nuts, we would all have a merry Christmas

Butthurt is alive and well in this thread. Carry on! lol

Why would Huskers pay to go to Indianapolis when they could go to Pasadena instead? Besides, with out 2013 schedule, we'll see you there next year.

    Bump.
