  • Nebraska vs. Wisconsin.

Nebraska won by 3 in the regular season. Both teams seem to have some issues coming into the game, but Nebraska has at least kept adding to their win column.

How much are the fellows at the B1G HQ praying for a Nebraska win so there isn't an 8-5 B1G Champion in the Rose Bowl?

  • I'm not sure what to say here. Nebraska's DL hasn't been as great as I thought. MSU's shitty OL paved a decent day for Bell and didn't give up a sack. If Wisconsin's OL brings it, there could be a lot of damage done on the ground by Ball/White.

On the flip side, I think Abdullah and Martinez are too fast for the Wisconsin defense.

I think it comes down to one posistion: Curt Phillips, if that is who still is the Wisconsin QB (hard to keep up these days).

For Wisconsin to have a chance, he has to provide something positive in the passing game and he can't lose the game for them. If he plays like he did against Ohio St, Wisconsin has a chance. If not, I don't think Wisconsin can win. Nebraska is suspect in run defense, but if they can zero in on just the running game, I think they stop Ball/White enough to win. Nebraska seems to have more speed, IMO than Wisconsin, so the game being inside on turf, should play to their advantage as well.

Oregon is going to beat whoever wins the B1G. No one in the conference is able to beat them this year imo.

Doesn't Oregon have to beat UCLA first?

lol I completely forgot that they lost to Stanford. This is good for the B1G because UCLA and Stanford are games that Wisconsin/Nebraska can win.

The reason for that is Jim Tressel. And yesterday, your fans did everything but fellate him at midfield.

  • I don't feel good about this going in. The problem isn't Curt Phillips who is able to manage a game. The problem lies with our WR core who can't seem to catch a critical pass if their life depended on it and our OC who seems to subscribe to the mindset that there are only 6 plays you can run in a run run run format. Twice now, Curt Phillips has lead the team on a last minute fourth quarter drive to force the game to overtime. He's been a great story that has been overshadowed by two heartbreaking losses. I say Nebraska wins this in a nailbiter. We've lost all our games by 7 points or less, getting Chris Borland back is going to be key. If Borland plays vs. OSU, Wisky wins IMO. Of course it's all hypothetical which is just stupid wishwashing, just like O$$$U's postseason.

You know win the B1GCG is probably the worst thing for your team. Since you backed into that game as not the third best team in your conference but your division if you win you are going to be about 4 tiers out of your ability. That's just gonna be gross to watch. But since all I'll be doing is watching, it should be an enjoyable game. cheers

The more experience we can get in big time games for a young team, the better. I've heard the Badgers are over there head many times. We've lost five close games, we aren't getting blown out from this point forward unless we end up with some matchup against USC. Either way, I'd rather be playing two more games than sitting at home and I think you'd agree. Sure we got lucky, not mad about it though. Next year will be one of the best of the BB era

I don't know about next year as I don't really know what you have back, but I think you have a good shot against Nebraska. Have to give them credit for winning, but the differences are that much from the records being closer or maybe reversed.

No it's not although I think they can beat Nebraska if they don't trip over their own feet. Sadly, it should be a good game. The only bright side I guess is they didn't just play against eachother yesterday, amirite?

Abdullah will most likely have reps cut way back with Burkhead back. I know Ameer has really caught a lot of attention stepping in with his flash, but Burkead is still the better back and gives us the better chance to win. Our starting center and top DT will be out also. Thats some big damage.

I fear the rematch, but I think Nebraska pulls out tough in a low scorer.

As a Husker fan, this is good to hear... NU is #1 in passing-D right now (edit: and #2 in pass-efficiency D), and seems to have figured some things out in the secondary in the last 3 or 4 games.... Our issues on D are still stopping the run, as well as our LBs cant cover for #hit. I wouldn't be surprised if your leading receiver ends up being a TE.

Im expecting Ball and White to get plenty of yards, and Im content with that as long as they aren't cheap yards off of muffed punts or fumbles inside our own red-zone like last time.

Offensively I expect NU to score more than we did the first time we played, but we'll see, we usually find a way to piss these important games down our leg.

No, the INS isn't chasing him; Taylor Martinez just runs like that. . . .
