BCS Bowl Wins by Programs

Well he's not correct but since 2004/2005 or whenever it was when the BCS dropped the AP poll from the formula because of the LSU/USC split in 2003,the AP poll has lost a lot of its prestige. (Havent had a split since either).

While this isn't an agreement like Stache referenced, it still is similar where the AP is less recognized.

Actually, it was the AP that dropped out of the BCS poll.

No one won the BCS Championship in 2005 (for the 2004 season), but USC won the game the BCS selected them and Oklahoma to play.

Almost as bad as going undefeated and having nothing to show for it.

Your season was wasted, douche. Not ours.

That Helix HS graduate was not deemed ineligible till the NC game...the NCAA could not dig up any evidence that he was ineligible before that game - and it took them 5 years to dig around to look for that evidence. Therefore, he was eligible for the entire season before that.

All those wins during the season that got us to that game, before that game count...and the one that didn't, that player was basically shut down by Oklahoma - just as we shut down Adrian Peterson.

Well according to your beliefs it is less legitimate than the BCS since it is pure voting bias.

Actually I consider the AP slightly better than the BCS. The BCS manipulates its votes and changes the rules on how it decides who is number one right after the regular season ends.

The AP is far more honest in how it picks its champion. I will make a thread giving a couple of examples on why and how the BCS is corrupt, and how they blatantly force votes to avoid controversy after 2003.

I have less respect for the bogus computer rankings than I do for polls.

That 2004 USC team was one of the five best of all time. A great example of an all time great offense is meshed with a tough, athletic and well coached defense.

I hate USC.......but that season was one for the ages.

Are you mad that Cam Newton played the worst game of his life, and we still beat you? Basically a team that would have been 9-4 with out Cam would have beaten you...

And LOL AT AN OREGON FAN CALLING ANYONE A CHEATER

Im not mad, just got a laugh out if an Auburn fan calling another team cheaters. And your high if you think without Cam you would have won. No credit is given to our defense. Ever think we had a good gameplan on shutting him down? Your defense got all yhe praise in the world. I guess its necause the SEC is the only conference thar knows how to play defense.

And the whole pay for Cam Newton is far worse than anything USC might have done.

And your 2007 team was one of the most exciting teams I've ever seen. All of us know and acknowledge we backed into the PAC Conference Championship winner that year. Oregon was the true winner, had DD not had that horrific injury. Such a good kid, and team.

Dennis Dixon should have won the Heisman, and Oregon would have been a legitimate favorite to win it all. Truly a sad situation.

    We didn't pay him buddy...

And your defense got gashed all night by Dyer and our WR'S. We had three over throws in that game where nobody was close to Darvin Adams.

Wow...it must have been a major blow out! 55-19 type of blow out!!

Nah, you didn't pay him....he stole what he wanted, and cheated in class to get passing grades. Are you placing flowers at this statue?

Haha. Yeah they only paid his father. No big deal.

And we each had our own offensive problems.

Now THATS class. You win by a last second field goal, but thats not good enough. You gotta try this revisionist history that Oregon was being beaten up and down the field.

Learn to win with a little dignity. Maybe then you wont be the unwanted stepchild of Alabama college football.

Really? So you got a link to that agreement?

You really need a link to know that all the major conference commssioners is who started the BcS system and then all University Presidents had to vote it into existence? Did you start watching football 3 years ago?

  • But here. Maybe this will help. I especially like the part where it says that the members of the BcS committee represent all 120 institutions that participate.

And you need to learn exactly what was voted on.

Here is all it entail. The member conferences agree to send a team from that conference to a specific bowl, if they qualify for it.

    Thats it.

Everything else is just you talking about what you think it is.

And all the conferences created this system so that whoever wins the BcS title is the undisputed champ and it will stay that way until changes are made. Therefore, deductive reasoning would lead the logical thinker to conclude that, as it stands now, the BcS champ, in the eyes of those that matter ( the BCS aka......all the conferences in it) is the one and only national champion.

No they didnt. There is nothing like that in any agreement between the BCS and the conferences. This is where you are reading stuff in that does not exist.

    Who created it? Big Bang?

Who cares? What we KNOW is the language used is very specific. At no time does the contract between the BCS and the conferences ever discuss crowning a national champion.

And you keep posting links to the same thing. That the conferences make no reference to a national championship, and only talk about sending eligible teams to specific bowls.
