Anything by Bells, Oberon is good this time of year, Two Hearted Ale is my personal favorite, Sweet water 420 is also a great go to

Currently drinking Founders Porter. Big fan of Sam Adams Black Lager or Sam Adams Honey Porter. I like beers that are dark and not dominated by hops. If there is a Chocolate Stout or Vanilla Porter out there, or one of those coffee beers, I will probably like it. And don't bother discussing beer with me if you list a mexican beer among your favorites, we are definitely speaking a different language.

I am from Australia but I would disagree with that.
There is no better selection than here in America. With the amount of craft breweries that are constantly experimenting the variety is staggering.

It is hilarious to me that people think that other countries brew better beer than the US. There are exceptions and definitely excellent beers and breweries in other countries... But for variety, quality, and creativity the US is head and shoulders above everyone else... with Belgium being the next best. Young German brewers come to the US to learn new techniques these days.
As far as the OP... Old Rasputin is a classic Imperial Stout and is still one of the best. My drinking choices of late have been the Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter and I have really been enjoying the Sweetwater IPA lately (In the place of Bells Two Hearted Ale) since these are both on tap at my neighborhood pub.

Pale ales for me. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Stone Pale Ale, etc.
Personal favorite is Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA though.
Still trying to find out where the hell I can find Stone's Ruination IPA in Tallahassee though.

I am only 28 so I couldn't speak to that.
Australia is different than the US. Each territory has its own brewery that a lot of people drink from.
I am from South Australia and we have Coopers. Pretty solid brewery.
