Unless Briles is a much better coach than I give him credit for being, your offense should take a noticeable step back this year. RG3 (Heisman winner) and Kendall Wright (who accounted for roughly 40% of your production through the air) are both gone. Will your offense become Kansas? No, but I highly doubt it will be anywhere near where it was this year.

I think you aren't giving Briles enough credit, he took UofH from 0-11 the year before he got there to a conference conference championship just a couple of years after he was there, then he came to Baylor where he took a program that was averaging 4 wins a year for 14 years before he got here then led them to a 10 win season in his 4th year that doesn't happen just because of one player.

I think briles is a great coach but Baylor will never be a year in year out contender. You just have to big a hill to climb. You will always get Texas and ou leftovers and now you have two more sucessfull programs to deal with.

And you are doing the same thing. His main claim to fame was getting Sumlin the A&M job by building the Houston team that Sumlin babysat. Baylor's revenge on Aggy. Props to Briles.

I think he's a pretty good coach. I don't like him on a personal level for several reasons, but I didn't say he was bad. You seem to think replacing the best QB you ever had is simply a matter of plugging the next guy in.

I think you guys are deffinatley on the up swing. But I don't know how you are going to do replacing RG3 and Wright. 10 wins may be a but much this year.

  • Hey USMCAG you talk like you know what combat is like. I'm actually a Marine to you dipshit. 2nd Radio Battalion to be exact and I just got from Afghanistan with 3/2. Question, do you even have a combat action Ribbon? Well I do. Have you even fired your weapon when it wasn't a VZO? I have. You probably got out as a 2nd award terminal lance you piece of shit. I like how you get on the Internet acting like you have war stories when we both know you probably didn't do a censored thing. You disrespect censored. Great example for the Corps and A&M you're setting.

Watch the language. That also applies to you AG.

    Cool story bro.

And the #2 team in the Big12 had a chance to show that against the #3 team in the SEC West (a team that both Alabama and LSU destroyed by 24 each), but things didn't go so well.

When did Arkansas play Oklahoma or Baylor? Both were better teams at the end of the year, imo. Hell, Texas had a very good chance to beat Kansas State but we were unlucky.

I guess it just sounds better to the "SEC!SEC!SEC!" crowd to say "The third best SEC team beat the second best Big 12 team" than "The third best SEC team beat arguably the fourth best Big 12 team."

You have no reading comprehension whatsoever bitch. I served five years active duty in the Marine Corps infantry you f'ing idiot. Yes, I got accepted to A&M today you asshole stalker.

Thank you for your service Aggie, Good Luck to you, I'm glad you fulfilled your goal of enrolling at A&M, at least you made your poorest decision AFTER leaving the Corps :)
And well, your boys were 6-6 in the Big 12 last year, things are not going to look much better in the future.

  • I think Texas at 1st is a stretch, too many questions on Offense and with the QB.

    1. OU- Jones back, OL is deep and experienced. Deep and talented at Reciever. Defense should be improved, solid talent at LB, big boost in the secondary. Their conference schedule is the second toughest in the Big 12 of the contenders with Texas on the "neutral" field and 9 straight games to finish the season and two road games in Ft Worth and Morgantown sandwiched around Bedlam.
    2. WVU- A very talented spread offense with a very innovative coach. Defensively talented but not dominating. Catches a break with OU, KState and Baylor at home.
    3. Texas- Texas probably has the best Defense in the conference, but I believe it will be pushed by OU's. But offensively Texas has a LONG ways to go, and frankly I do not think their D can keep them in the the game against the offenses they will face if their offense doesnt help them out. Beneficial schedule, WVU and TCU at home
3A or 4. Kansas State- Sold on offense, solid on Defense, and special teams, well coached, schedule is not pretty (toughest imho) with OU, WVU, TCU and Baylor on the road.
5 and 5A- OSU and Baylor: Both will drop off, I believe Baylor will drop further because of the loss of RGIII, with less talent coming back around the 5th year senior who will starting. OSU is also replacing a QB an all american wideout and some important Defensive players, but I believe they are deeper than Baylor, and Baylors road schedule does not help them.
7- TCU- Good talent, but a lot of problems, potential to jump to 4, but lots of good things would have to happen, upsets at home and on the road.
    8- ISU
    9- Texas Tech
    10- Kansas

Well since he went from Kolb to Keenum at Houston I will trust Briles eye and his offense on how a QB can produce in it.

So let's see here in Briles relatively short career as an HC he has had

Kevin Kolb-Starter for the Arizona Cardinals
Case Keenum-Finished in the Top 7 of Heisman voting this year and will get drafted
Robert Griffin III-Heisman trophy winner and will be 2nd overall pick in this years draft

The guy has an eye for QBs

I think our offense will be vastly improved because last year ash barely got any reps even in just spring practice and we kinda just threw him out there. But I think well be no 1 if he improves and we can be balanced. We have all the tools to be successful and make a run at something special. If we dont improve the passing game you probably are right where you placed us. Winner of the red river game wins the conf imo, with wvu third. I think that with being able yo.run the ball and an experienced secondary we can beat them by game n tempo control

I like this list. I could also see KState taking the whole thing. I like where you have TCU. I think they are a solid program, but will have to adjust to playing with the big boys. I see them having a year similar to Utah in the Pac 12. I really think the Big 12 is pretty wide open. I am excited to see what West Virginia can do.

I think the Sooner nailed it. I would flip Texas and KSU perhaps. If A&M were still in the Big 12, I would slot them at 8th.

I like Kansas State too, but I do not think they win in Norman or Morgantown, so I dont see them winning. Remember that OU destroyed them on the road last year, and if anything OU is more explosive on Offense in the coming year. KSU just does not matchup well vs OU (or WVU) from a game plan perspective. On the flip side, WVU DOES match up well vs OU and I think that other than Texas (just because its OU/Texas) WVU has a better than average shot at beating them, because their strengths match up agains OU's traditional weaknesses (Mike Stoops and Tim Kish may change this but I have to see it before I buy into it).
