Lucky was raving about Fanning the other day. Kids potential is though the roof

    Real Deal Holyfield.

Wont be able to keep him off the field. 6'7 280 doesnt grow on trees. Can not wait to see that kid figure it out.

Just wish everyone would realize how good we have it. Talent like this is special.

Ready to see why Pettway can do as well. May not factor in this year due the depth but I think he's gonna ball.

I'm laughing at some of the fools on BOL who have Pagan starting. Stupid shits

  • Pagan is another one that when the time comes he could do great things. Excellent speed for his size. Get a little more explosion on his initial punch (and that will come with weight training) and hope that knee holds and sky is the limit.

Those fools over there are prisoners of the moment. I know its great to have all these top flight kids. But what they forget is the other top flight kids have been working for a few years to get their shot.

Some just forget about Stinson and Square. Hell even Dial. Who is going to keep those guys off the field?

Dial just scratched the surface last year. Stinson is now or never and Square has been a significant player.

    Add Williams and boom.

Excellent problem to have. Depth depth and more depth. Love it.

Agreed. They just remember what they see last. They forget about the talent that's been stockpiled.

    Glad he graduated.

Never had the killer instinct. Never saw it from him.

He was always partying. Id see that kid at the bars to much. I knew he wouldn't amount to his five star status.

Granted he's a kid but either be the frat star or football star. He chose frat star

    Regarding Pagan...

With the depth available and nursing a knee injury (which I guess was farther along than I thought going into the season) I was surprised to see him on the field this year. I'm hoping that means he was just that far along mentally and physically. If so, hopefully he'll be ballin out for us in 2013 with some situational seasoning this year.

I dunno, seems crazy to not make the most of that opportunity, but... If you're only kinda in to football, you could really live the dream that way. Not just a frat star, but THE frat star. Put in enough work to stay on the team and get all the jollyment out of that, but also enjoy the rest of college life which I would imagine most football players don't do as much.

Either way, sucks he didn't pan out, but he stayed out of trouble, made good grades, graduated and I imagine did us a service on scout team so he's alright in my book.

Here's a good story regarding that. I was in a fraternity at Alabama and before my time, Bob Baumhower and Mike DuBose were pledges in that fraternity. When we were cleaning out our offices one day and reorganizing a lot of files, we started reading through the minutes of past chapter meetings.

We got to a meeting in the early 70's and in it had the bullet point that read, Coach Byrant stopped by the house for a pledge meeting last week. He gave Pledge Baumhower and Pledge Dubose 30 seconds to decide if they wanted to play football or be a frat boy.

Baumhower had actually been kicked off the team prior to that as well and following a meeting with his parents, Coach Bryant had decided that he would be given another chance. Bob told me later, that Coach Bryant didn't know Dubose was pledging, but just happen to see him when he came to speak with him.

that's good stuff - guess you could say Bryant was in the midst of a "Processing Moment." :)

Agree with Morgan. I also think Anderson and Ragland get on the field early, though Ragland may move to TE.

Ragland will NOT move to TE. He has said this multiple times.
