Bama fans? Alvin Kamara

  • What do you think your chances are of getting him? Is Bama recruiting him just as a RB or WR? How do you think it will effect other RB commits?

I think he is a UGA lean even though he's mentioned us very positively lately. Honestly, if we land Robert Foster, I don't see room for him at the moment.

60/40 UGA IMO. The last thing I remember seeing had him primarily at receiver, but also being used in a "Percy Harvin" type role where he is moved around. His commitment shouldn't effect the other RB's if he were to get on board.

I can't imagine that they're that great. While he's a RB, we're selling him a mixed role of slot WR and RB. I keep thinking that the RB gravy train will stop, but kids keep on committing so what do I know? shrug

Kamara is a helluva prospect & only time will tell where he decides to go but one thing is certain, the only "effect" his pledge would have on any Bama recruit is that they would be joined by yet another solid recruit.

i wouldnt be shocked he too signed w/ Bama but i wouldnt wager that he does.

  • Our numbers are getting tight right now, but if it came down to it I would Georgia get the OL Crowder out of North Carolina.

you can never have enough quality big-uglies, just ask Georgia's front 7.

I'm a fan of bigger RB's. I like Turman that commited to us, he is 215lbs now.

  • Give me Kamara as a RB. Competition doesn't get any better than Georgia 6A and:

-He has over 2,000 yards rushing on the season
    -Scored 30 TDs
-Averaging over 8 yards per carry
-Has his team at 14-0 and playing for the Georgia 6A State Title in the Georgia Dome on Saturday.
-Great receiver out of the backfield. Great hand-eye coordination and ball skills

He would probably be my 2nd or 3rd rated RB in the nation in terms of who I'd want on my team. Again, check his production and quality of competition. He's a BOSS.

Tell people what they want to hear, they will like you. Tell them the actual truth...they may not.

  • Kamara was a beast on steriods in his last playoff game (vs. Colquitt Co.). He single- handedly beat them.

One of the best performances I have seen from a RB in years.

  • Kamara's pretty underrated nationally IMO. Dynamic playmaker and all he does is produce against some of the best competition in the country. Same thing can be said for Tyren Jones. Travis Custis (GT commit) is also an extremely productive back. The Kamara vs. Custis matchup in the 6A title should be a good one

Speed & Athletes all over the field in this game. Both teams are loaded.

this. I lived in Gwinnett pretty much my whole life and that is big boy football.

  • I don't know. I think he's pretty split. Competition doesn't seem to be a big thing to him. It's not like UGA's playing time situation at RB is real good either. He'd be the third back at best, and coming in with another solid back in Turman.

    jdawg804

  • It's hard to believe he will commit to Alabama as a RB. With 3 stud RB's already committed, all in the top 54 overall nationally, there's a lot of competition coming in. You also have Yeldon who is a true freshman, Drake who is a true freshman, and Hart who is a RS freshman who will all be there for a couple more years at least. That's quite the log jam.

I'd love to have him but I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up at UGA if he wants to play RB.
