Bama vs USC

Haha, well i know your team balls out, so u dont need to prove anything to me.

I'm really just playing devils advocate here. I've got a lot of respect for the USC's program and would be pumped by the matchup in the NC.

Yeah, I know all the SC fans got mad respect for bama too. You cant really match two teams up for a better game than bama/sc. Anytime you got old powerhouses facing eachother in a bowl game, its gonna be a really anticipated game. Same could be said for lsu, notre dame, nebraska, auburn, texas, the florida schools, washington, etc.. But sc/bama has somethin to it thats just plain awesome.

    trojanNorCal

  • SC vs a SEC squad in the MNC needs to happen. Long overdue. With that said, SC needs handle their business and get there first.

What sanctions? Our 75 are better than your 85.

How many yards have Hart/Yeldon ran for? Their hype until they do it on the field,.McNeal is better then any of your RBs and has proved it on tha field, Bamas stable of backs is better then.USCs, but Mcneal is better then all ur RBs. Anyways going back n forth is dumb, we both got boatloads of4/5* talent, was more looking for the opinion of other fan bases

Its is difficult for Hart to get yards when he's on the sideline, almost as difficult for TJ to get them while he was still in high school. "Proving it on the field" in the Pac 12 is the equivalent of Yeldon getting almost 200 yards against our 2nd team D(sounds great but means nothing). Im not saying he's not a great back, but he's not facing SEC defenses week in and week out.

  • I personally don't care who the opponent is. Let's take care of business first. Things will sort themselves out accordingly.

True that. I think we are all jumping the gun on this one.

Im not sure who would win, could go to the team with the better day. Anybody who says alabama would WAX usc is trippin. And visa versa, if some said usc would wax bama, they'd be trippin. It'd be the most anticipated game since texas/usc or bama/lsu part 1. Probably the most anticipated though, cause of the history of both programs, south vs west coast, saban vs kiffin, bama D vs usc O. I hope it happens.

This is the correct answer. I know this forum is for discussion, but nobody knows much about either team considering they both fill some big shoes on both sides of the ball.

  • who are 'Bamas CB's?

USC's WR's are a problem. I don't think there is a defensive backfield in the country that can match-up. Seriously. No team can go 4 deep at CB like you would have to. Only way to stop USC this year would be to blitz often and distrupt their OL and get to Barkley. Woods demands a double team. He is one of the top 5 WR's in college football and a future 1st round pick. Lee demands a double team. He is one of the top 5 WR's in college football and a future top 1st round pick. Don't make me even start getting into the back-up WR's. It's nuts.

CB's are looking like it's going to be Milliner and Fulton as the starters. Backups probably being Deion Belue and either Bradley Sylve or Travell Dixon.

I like the fact that we would have a month to have Saban strategize for the game.

Say what you want to about your receivers go and look at our depth chart when it comes to our secondary. We have five star players that will be sitting on the bench. Landon Collins is liable to fvcking redshirt.

They are both no doubt top 5 wrs and first rounders, but would they have those numbers playing a SEC defense every week?

Saban is a master game-planner, no doubt.

Still, USC is stacked at WR/TE man. That is a hard match-up for any teams defensive backfield. Woods & Lee are a problem. Not to mention Telfer the TE that can also split wide and play some WR. Not to mention the 5* back-up George Farmer (that should break out as the 3rd guy this year) and also other 4* back-ups like Blackwell & Flournoy. That is a tough cover for any team.

Most teams just cannot match-up in the secondary against that. Only way to disrupt that I think is to get after the QB. No team is going to be able to try and cover that, they just can't.

    Eddie Williams - 5*
    Amari Cooper- 4*
    Chris Black- 4*
    Danny Woodson Jr- 4*
    Marvin Shinn- 4*
    Kenny Bell- 4*
    DeAndrew White- 4*
Christion Jones- 3*/4*(was ranked as CB on most sites)
    Kevin Norwood- 4*
Duron Carter- ?* Who cares his daddy is an nfl legend, and hes on tv

Its not a proven group like USC, but its as much talent on paper as anyone in the country imo.

    Congrats?

None of them are rated as high as Farmer, who was the #1 WR and a top 10 recruit in his class, and he is their #4 option..at best. Flournoy and Blackwell are both high 4*'s and whatever they get from one of them is gravy.

Their #1 and #2 options are top 5 WR's in college football and will be 1st round picks. Their #3 option is a super athletic TE that was a freshman all-american in 2011 and set freshman records for TE's at USC with 29 catches and 5 TD's...as a true frosh! Telfer has 1st round ability himself, and he is going to show that this year.

C'mon son, stop being such a homer. USC is stacked at WR/TE. It's ridiculous my man.
