Bama's D

Nope, but a consensus that he played, by far, his best game/half of the season. Nobody can deny that much. Every one of his throw's were on the money and exactly where they needed to be. Just like AJ in the Natty.

Not only that but his incompletions were thrown near the WR where only the WR could have come up with the ball. We had what I thought were easily 2 or 3 picks. He threw the ball such that our DB had no chance to make a play. Team will probably use this gamefilm and attack 35, 27, and 13 in coverage more. While 35 & 27 surely did stink in pass coverage, everytime Belue (13) was in perfect coverage, Mettenberger threw a Tom Brady type pass (see the 14 yd fade TD pass as reference).

My only concern is that the LSU win will look bad when they sleepwalk against MSU next week and could very well lose b/c losing a game like this can kill a season (see 2007 Bama after they blew it against LSU).

Mettenberger played a near flawless game fitting the ball in the tightest of windows to receivers with incredible focus. That LSU team that played such inspired ball last night would beat every team in the country by 30.

Glad we snuck out of that place. Yes Bama's D is very much better than NDs.

    How can you guarantee that??

It was a ridiculous statement. FSU plays VT, Maryland, and UF in the reg season before taking on an assuredly terrible ACC team in the ACCCG.

Personally I think Alabama's D is better, but the numbers wont reflect it. FSU's defensive stats are fixing to get insane.

Because we finish the regular season against Auburn.

It felt like what Tebow did to us in the 08 championship. Perfect throws and just couldn't get them out in 3rd downs.

Western Carolina before that. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't pitch a couple of shutouts in those.

  • To the original question:

Bama has given up 17 points - once. To the #5 team in the country.

ND, on the other hand, has given up 17 to Purdue, 14 to BYU, and 20 to Pitt. And all 3 of those games were in question. And all three of those teams rank worse than LSU in scoring.

LSU got the best QB play they've gotten in a game in 10 years. And still only scored 17.

Not this year. Little Nickey got exposed.

Ha. They won it last night. Thanks for playing.

Hmm. Interesting. Auburn is playing a WR who Southern Miss didn't want at QB, with a staff just collecting a paycheck. Could come down to which team goes full retard more. I still like our chances.

They haven't even.come close to 435 yards against the inept offense of LSU

LSU would've beat ND last night. ND would've never scored in double digits.

Fsu has played bad teams but has played some good offenses

Our d is just da best :dealwithit:

    lol

Good Offenses in the ACC that play other ACC teams with sucky Defenses. Yeah, that is just dumb math there.
