Bama's offense was the opening drive, the last drive of the first half, and the last drive of the game. In all three drives LSU was in a soft zone, big play prevent. LSU shut Bama down because they were able to play Bama in base defense. Bama's defense looks like shit when they are forced to play with 4 DBs.

    Alabama rarely played with 4 DB's. Alabama had a game much like this in 2009. Our defense is fine. They looked a little gassed which was unusual but LSU had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and fresh legs.

    You didn't shut Bama down. You gave up 331 yds of offense and WR's were open. If AJ hits them, it may not come down to the final drive. Hell we even fumbled inside the 10 yd line on a play in which we had the first down, and quite possibly a TD.

    Bama is exposed. LSU was out matched on paper. The funny thing is I do not feel like I am telling jokes, but you see humor. MIles made 4-5 bad choices, and Bama was only able to put together 3 nice drives. LSU dominated Bama's D. Mett looked like a Heisman, and AJ cried. The first nice squad Bama plays and they look less than average.

    Bottom line Bama won. 9-0. Hate all you want. Winners find a way to win.

No team ever beats the crap out of everybody they play. They have nail biters too.     In a place that is almost impossible to win, Im impressed

    But not so much with AJ which is something I expected

    I still think he is the best of the 3 under Saban from Bama, but the kid just isn't that good and without that OL he would be no better than 50% of the QB's in america

    Bama however, is a very tough team to beat

    Very impressed with them as usual, and I was very impressed with LSU too

    Bama was flat and that little all-access crap that took place this week was a distraction more than anything. We should have closed the doors and stayed focused, but every championship run has one of these games. The only difference is when it happens to Bama we suddenly become overrated lol. Typical huh.

    I agree, I am hating because Bama got out played and looked average against their first real fight. If Miles did not make so many dumb choices, the game is not close. Saban has been exposed like it or not.

    Its just what happens when great teams play each other, its a game of inches and things happen

    Out of all the football I have seen this year, those are the 2 best teams in america

    He doesnt get it. He most likely never will. At least we can play "nickel" against the Aggies next week. Even though we played in Nickel about 75% of the time tonight. He heard a comment from Gary or Verne saying we weren't in Nickel and has ran with it. Verne and Gary were wrong but nevermind that.

  • They are #1 this year, but all the beating NFL talk and being one of the best teams ever talk is ridiculous. They just beat one of the few teams that has what it takes to beat them....at their place. They won't lose this year.

    Lsu is the only team that can do what they did period. And anyone that doesn't see that are blind. Georgia is soft and no way can hang with bama and atm doesn't have the defense to stop them. They will shut johnny football down like lsu awe Florida did

    I will have to agree to disagree with you. Mett stepped up for the first time. Bama got whipped all night until Miles's ideas came into play. His dumb choices were neon. Bama is a team that can not stop the pass with out 5 DBs. Granted, you have to run a power set to force them to get out of their star package. I will give Bama this, they have perfected stopping a running attack in a 3-3-5 look, but when you force them into a 3-4-4, Bama's LBs can not cover RBs or TEs. Bama is exposed.

  • Before you say Bama is overrated, you might want to step back and look at some things. LSU had a bye week. LSU had 2 weeks to devise a game plan. LSU's QB and WR's played the game of their lives, Alabama made several mistakes and still found a way to win with all of the odds stacked against them. Overthrew a wide open wide receiver that would have been a TD, bs offensive pass interfetence call on ou receivet that was clearly held, bad exchange on a handoff that took away at least 3 points, bs penalty on LSU for a false start after the ball carrier fumbled and Bama recovered. It should be not be a surprise to anyone that this game came down to the wire. I guarantee you no other team in the country would been able to overcome that much adversity tonight.

    Yeah, we are so exposed because so many teams have the players to match up with us like LSU and all of their QBs will have a horseshoe shoved up their a$$es and play the game of their life against us. I think that is extremely likely.
