You can get mad and call me names or point out how much Auburn sucks, but name another top 15 or 20 team you have played.     Every thing you said is solid, but Miles's dumb choices made it a game. Bama got dominated, offensively and defensively. Bama's offense was the opening drive, the last drive of the first half, and the last drive of the game. In all three drives LSU was in a soft zone, big play prevent. LSU shut Bama down because they were able to play Bama in base defense. Bama's defense looks like shit when they are forced to play with 4 DBs.

    Shut. The. Fvck. Up. We get but already. LSU outplayed us. We still won. It happens every single week. The best team that day doesn't always win.

    Dude it's laughable and anyone who posts here knew that would be the case. Had AU done it it would have been considered a sign of incredible perseverance by a team who found a way to win even on their off night. It's a sad sad life when you have to live vicariously through Bama's opponents lol.

  • EgoTrip still doesn't realize that Alabama played Nickel about 75% of the game. The real factor was Moseley not playing as much. Nico is our run stopping LB'r and he sued the majority of the snaps last night as he always does against LSU. Alabama had a habit of making Jordan Jefferson look like an All-American. Why? Because LSu matches up well against us unlike 116 other teams.

    We recruit pretty much the same exact players every year. The only difference is LB recruiting. Besides that if a kid has offer from LSU he has a offer from Bama and vice versa. We also both get pretty much the pick of the litter. This game has more NFL talent involved in it then any other game college football year in year out. That speaks volumes about the two programs if you ask me.

  • They arent going to blow out every team in every game. LSU is a great team and Death Valley may be the biggest home field advantage in College Football...

    LSU coming off of an off week and getting them at home, at night, definitely helped. McCarron was clearly off the mark last night also. On the flip side, Mettenberger played better than he has in any game all season. You can blame that on Bama's secondary but the reality is that when they played A&M, they had WR's open and he just couldnt hit them. He was hitting them last night. The QB play/passing game was supposed to be the difference in the game. It almost was, but not in the direction everyone thought.

    Championship teams find ways to win games like that. Go out and get a "w" any way you have to.

    Made me respect Bama that much more.

    Spot on. The mecca of college athletics right now (in any sport) is the Alabama/LSU rivalry. Considering all the factors you just mentioned as well as the current height of both programs, there is simply no better atmosphere out there right now. People can say that all they want it's no different than any other game in the win/loss column, and technically they're correct. However, you have to have a special edge mentally to play in this game for 60 minutes. That's just how it is.

    I will have to agree to disagree with you. Mett stepped up for the first time. Bama got whipped all night until Miles's ideas came into play. His dumb choices were neon. Bama is a team that can not stop the pass with out 5 DBs. Granted, you have to run a power set to force them to get out of their star package. I will give Bama this, they have perfected stopping a running attack in a 3-3-5 look, but when you force them into a 3-4-4, Bama's LBs can not cover RBs or TEs. Bama is exposed.

    Do you really think the best coach in college football doesnt know that! You dont think he isnt gonna use the game film from tonight to fix that problem? Have you ever seen the same thing an offense uses to move to ball on bama work twice? You are an idiot! Your team blows so the only thing you can hang on to is the hope of bama losing!!!

    LSU and FL stopped Johnny football with 4-3-4 looks because they can stop the pass with base coverage, 4 DBs. Bama's D is not efficient in base coverage because the LBs cannot cover RBs and TEs. Summlin's spread is design to attack the nickel, Bama's favorite look.

    If you will rase your head out of Saban's lap for a half second, you will see that I am correct. Saban has been exposed. LSU loss because Miles was a complete idiot when it came to taking or keeping the momentum. The guy made about 4-5 bad choices.
