    Hah yup

Although i don't even think he will be that good

    Coker baby

Also i like the other kid we have too, gets no love but he ain't scared of Winston

For all we know he is better or will become a better player

    You really never know

  • I don't think he'll be that good either. His insistence at playing baseball will doom his future as an effective quarterback IMO. I just hope that splitting time doesn't prevent him from reaching his potential in either sport (although that's what I think will happen).

    Yeah

Some do okay but most don't

Wilson is really the only success story since Deion that i can really remember

Its hard for me to say Winston is that type of athlete

He sure doesn't look like it to me in the little i have seen of him

    I could be wrong

But i really don't get the fuss over this kid

In all the qb prospects ive seen in just the last 10 years he wouldn't crack my top 10

  • Mike Bobo....

Truth be told, I would not want to be the OC there next year: defense is losing a ton to NFL and the heat will be on the OC (in year 1) to win games. Short tenure in Bama if you have any question marks on offense (OL will have some attrition).

Actually, our OL should be good to go. I think it's a coin flip as to whether Barrett Jones will return but I have a feeling he will. He would slide to Center where most project him in the NFL and it would be great for him to get some experience there. DJ Fluker came out yesterday and said he's coming back. If Jones returns, we will bring back 4 starters on the OL, Jones would take over at Center so Cyrus Kouandjio could take over at LT where he got some good experience this year. It could be an even better OL next season.

As for the defense, we do lose a lot but it's less than we lost after 09. The next season we still ended up with the #6 defense in America. We lost 10 starters that year, we'll lose 7-8 this year but return more guys with significant experience, or "almost" starters like Milliner, Mosley, Dial. We will likely field a top 5-10 defense next year. The offense will have to step up for sure but they won't have to score 35/game...this won't be an Auburn defense or anything...hehehe.

Anyways, it doesn't matter a whole lot who the next OC is because our offense won't change. We'll be a physical ground-oriented team but will try to be as balanced as possible. Saban has a philosophy that we aren't going to deviate from just because a new OC is hired.

2012 on D will probably look a lot like 2010... there's enough depth and athletic talent to play SEC level ball but leadership will be the question that will only be answered with experience.

OL was bolstered last night with DJ Fluker stating that he will not be leaving early. If Barrett Jones decides to stay (which I really don't expect but...) then the OL will be very solid. AJ with a year and a NCG under his belt will be better; Losing TR is huge but depth is good with Lacy and Fowler... WR will probably be as strong if not stronger... Duron Carter is a beast and has something to prove and there is a bunch of young ones with tons of talent in the wings.

The offensive cabinet is stocked and stacked so I don't see much to be concerned with there.

In the end, I don't think that the new OC will be anyone that has been mentioned anywhere yet and I really doubt that anyone will know until it is officially announced - CNS will hire somebody that will run his offense and it won't look very much different than what's been seen to date. I also expect that it will be someone who is not a "hot name"; that isn't the way the man works. This team is all CNS and will remain that way; and, yes, I am good with that.

From a close, undercover, inside source, coaching friend, I can now confirm that Patton has withdrew his name from consideration. Word is that CNS made him cry. TIFWIW
