He has been mentioned as a target for Jimbo for our DC position. You guys know how this stuff goes, who knows what will happen. In these coaching searches half the time the guy thats hired is someone not being mentioned at all. Ive read good things about Pruitt, but wanted to know how you Bammers felt about him. He seems to fit the mold Jimbo is looking for.

It's just kinda the way it works now. Smart was our DB coach (that Saban actually coaches) before he took the DC position. We demoted Steel to do it actually. But after that, we hired Pruitt to take over the DB's. Now if Kirby leaves, he is next in line to be DC. The Bama DC position is a highly coveted position with Saban there. He would be a head coach somewhere in a few years.
I know it was high school, but Hoover high school football is at the highest level and he was an amazing DC there. He's the only DC I ever saw that Rush let have his way on everything because he trusted him. Pruitt is a damn good football coach and a great recruiter.
