    Laws won't prevent murder?

No. Its against the law to murder someone. People still murder people.

Its always going to happen. If it isn't guns, it will be bombs. If it isn't bombs, it will be knives.

Over simplification and attacking liberals is not helping your argument.

Yes you can stop a person who intends to kill. And that is what we have to work on as a country. Whether it means laws against automatic guns, or more safety in school, or better care for those who may be deranged.

No....no you cannot. If someone is bound and determined to commit something like that then it is absolutely going to happen. No amount of legislation was going to permanently stop the deranged killer. Keep living in your fantasy world though.

But the measures will punish people who did nothing wrong, and murders and school shootings will still happen. Pointless unconstitutional legislation, period.

Creating legislation to limit ANY firearms will not work.

If tomorrow there was a ban on automatic weapons, within a week(if i had the money) i could have one and plenty of ammo. The only way to deter these people is to increase security.

And to an earlier post you made: While I don't doubt what you summarized SCOTUS saying is true, any halfway decent lawyer could prove that is just not the case. Last time I checked the second amendment it does not say handguns but arms in general(Note:not attacking you, but that ruling by the court. That is a failure just like the dred Scott ruling)

And any lawyer (like the understanding of old) could argue the literal predicated interpretation of the second amendment. So what?

By the way, do you have any data that proves gun control won't work?

  • The second amendment was created for state militias if they ever needed to go against the federal government. It's not a right that some people think it is.

  • What is so freaking wrong with wanting to have less mass murders? Why does it have to be all or none? Can you imagine how much stuff we wouldn't get done if a law had to be passed that required it to to exactly 100% success in whatever it was intended to do?

All you people understand is data. There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Statistics do not prove everything, they can be skewed ro favor one side easily, you are smart enough to know that.

And if you do not believe the scenario I laid out is possible for every deranged killer you cannot be reasoned with.

It states NOTHING about handguns in the 2nd amendment.

And I believe you and Hot Sauce are not very knowledgeable when it comes to early united states history, especially constitution wise.

So lets hear just exactly what you would do. I can guarantee you that I can SHOOT holes in ANY gun control legislation, no amount of data can keep me form doing it either.

Being possible and being probable are two ENTIRELY different concepts. The fact that we aren't going to pursue any meaningful action because its possible it might not work to its desired effect is utterly ludicrous.

IT WILL NOT WORK. No matter how bad you may want it to, it will not.

And no matter what the SCOTUS says, we indeed have a right to ALL arms. They can run their mouth all they want, but in the words of Andrew Jackson: "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it"
