It did. When Messi missed the penalty I started feeling fick in my stomach. Chelsea was too good covering the passing lanes. I'm happy for Torres as well, maybe he'll get his confidence back.

They should have never given up the first goal to Ramires. It was a great finish, but Barca's high press style of possession play bit them when they decided to play Mascherano at CB.

All the magic ran out for Barca. Messi played as if he has had the flu the last 7 days. Xavi, the world's best passer, was sending squibs at defenders, Pique got a nasty concussion, Mascherano is terrible, and Guardiola had no brilliance to offer.

I think Messi comes back exceedingly strong but better versions of Sanchez and Pedro will take pressure off of him. Pedro went from 23 goals to 3 due to injuries, Sanchez was very impressive but missed like 35% of the year.

They will likely sell David Villa and go after a taller striker, I hope. The Zlatan experiment failed but they had the idea right.

Puyol will degrade quickly from here on. Pique will continue to be arguably the world's best CB for another 3 years and great for 3 years after that.

Mascherano needs to be sold. Barca has 3 good CB prospects who they've been playing a lot. One will likely emerge. Barca is looking at making a run at Gareth Bale for LB but he'll likely be too expensive.

Cuenca and Tello are very encouraging so Barca could sell Villa and not buy another forward. Thiago and his brother will be ELITE young MFs.
