  • One thing I have noticed, is that there is a substantial benefit behind the weapons that are unlocked later in the game.

    Also the gun-specific unlocks can go tediously slow from bouncing back and fourth between US and RU.

    I'm sure you guys have talked about all this before, but 100+ pages is just too much to go back through. Ha.

    The whole Russian and US weapon thing will go away. There is only 1 gun per side that is faction specific, and when you max out that kit you get those weapons. Doesn't matter, because once you unlock something decent you will never use the M16A3 again.

    Like Mountie said once you get past those initial weapons it is a lot better. I like the starting weapons on the engineer and support kit but the starting weapons on assault are terrible.

    Right now I spend about about 40% of the time using Recon and finally got a rifle that doesn't feel like I'm trying to volley shots from a distance. Supports initial weapon is fine, as is the engineer, but I agree, I can't stand the assault rifle.

    Also half the battle is learning the maps and the intricacies of the game. For instance, I can not fly worth a damn regardless of jet or helicopter.

    The flying is really difficult to get the hang of. I am still not great but I am serviceable.

    Flags that you try to control. Say your team holds 3 of 4 flags. The other team's tickets will decrease since you hold the most flags. Once a team runs out of spawn tickets the game is over. Maps are bigger, and there are no choke points like in Rush. Wish you had a PS3!

    Yeah, there has been. It's hard to find time to get to them all, but I try and manage. One reason I decided to wait on BF was because I wanted to see the reaction between COD and BF when they came out because I only wanted to get one of them.

    This is my first Battlefield game, and I'm trying to get a better hold of it. I'm starting to bring the K/D ratio back up. The different game modes are starting to catch on, just have to start getting to know the maps.
