    What is going on?
    How many years did it take the BattleField team to catch on? 10 plus years and i can finally go prone(like you do in all FPS) Not sure why it took them so long to make that change. And finally the one thing that i feel that will change in the FPS world among all of FPS's, is that BattleField will gain more popularity this time around, and COD fans will give it a chance... BUT there are a couple of things that BF needs to change if they want to continue to keep the fans excited and not lose interest.
    Custom Maps!!! Private rooms, and more options in this area, and here is one thing that i know for a fact that turns COD fans away from BF... Death Match "every man for himself" that would be a could title. I can hear you guys now saying but we are not COD and BF has always been about Teams and working together. Okay well continue to think this way and i can guarantee that this formula will only go so far. Take a look at your attempt with the last installment of Medal of Honor! I have been gaming for 33 years (Atari 2600) and i started playing FPS's over the net (oldschool term) with Rainbow Six, Delta Force, Quake, Unreal tournament, Half-life 1 and 2 and of course the mod of all mods Counter Strike. Some where team based only but most had both options to play single or team. Then i started playing BF 1943 and i admit this was a lot of fun (teams no prone?) and i put just as much time into that game as i did CS. That was then and now that FPS have become the #1 type of game there should be more options out there Hince BF3.

    I will continue to promote this game in my Video game store but the gamers want more.. not too much more.. like cramming in a bunch of mini games and tweaks that are just not necessarily always a good thing... can we say Madden cough cough 12. What happen to the old school FB where it was about playing the game having a crib and that was cool i will save for another forum (Inside the players helmet playing on the line was amazing) too bad that was not offered in madden games. oh that was by 2k anyhow.

  • I would love to see the AC-130 as a vehicle (plane) in game. In CoD it was a perk but that was stupid. I'd love to fly one and have three of four guys manning the weapons. Hell we had aircraft carriers in BF1942.

  • See I love vehicular combat. There was a mod back in the BF1942 days themed around Black Hawk Down. It had Humvees, trucks, technicals, APCs, tanks (in 10th Mountain maps), Black Hawks, Little Birds, and almost always one AC-130 per map. Loved it.

    Having said that, any future BF3 Xbox players are invited to join my fighter wing in Air Superiority.

    Ya, I think that's really cool, I just hated spawning on the aircraft carriers because I'd always miss someone taking their boat into land, or miss the plane or something and have to wait for that stuff to come back unless I wanted to swim to land.

    I loved driving around as the gunner in the tanks or in the jeeps. Can't wait to mess around with that stuff again.

  • You can make trenches in the ground with C4! The ground itself can be dug up to create a damn trench! This was PC gameplay, so i'm not sure if they have that detail in consoles. i hope they do.

    Here is the 9 minute gameplay on Caspien border. Music is annoying.

    my dumbass roommate was probably playing and didnt see the invite. Ill be on all the time now I tried playing cod and I cant do it. Battlefield is so much better.
