    That is basically what it is going to be. Usually a beta is used for testing the game but it is coming out so late they won't be able to make a lot of changes before the game is released.

    And yes it will be on 360. Still no word on the date yet but it is sometime this month.

    I never snipe. I find it HIGHLY annoying to be in a squad full of snipers. You are pretty much instantly doomed from the get go with 4 or 5 snipers on a team. I just can't wait to set up the bi-pod for whatever my LMG of choice is and commence to "Giving them hell" gun

    I don't mind playing with a recon that is really good. I have played with guys so good they keep the other team from taking flags because they are scared to get out of cover.

    I hate playing against those guys but it is rare to come across one that good.

  • This is reportedly the new scoring system. Looks about right to me.

    Kill enemy: 100 points
    Knife kill: 300 points
    Comeback kill: 60 points
    Headshot bonus: +10 points
    Eliminate enemy squad: +10 points
    Savior bonus: +20 points
    Avenger bonus: +10 points
    Destroy vehicle: 200 points
    Disable vehicle: 100 points

    Assist points:

    Kill assist: from 10 to 60 points
    Spot assist: 10 points
    Squad kill assist: from 10 to 60 points
    Squad spot assist: 20 points
    Suppressive fire assist: +10 points
    Squad spawn on you: +10 points

    M-COM objective points:

    M-COM arm: 200 points
    M-COM disarm: 200 points
    M-COM destroy: 200 points
    M-COM attack bonus: +20 points

  • I was just given two pretty solid video cards. Not good enough to run it on ultra high specs but good enough to run BF3 on medium I would guess.

    Radeon HD 4850 I believe. The guy that gave them to me just bought some new bad ass card. He said these were really good though. Just a little old.

    If you use both of them, you may be able to run it at medium. Even then, I'm not sure. Use both of them for any other game besides BF3 and Crysis, you are golden.

    Yeah I will be using both of them together. I could actually run 3 simultaneously if I had another. From what I am hearing BF3 is going to optimized to where it isn't going to take as much of a system as you would think.

    I still might buy a new card because I am going to build a new PC anyway.

    Hope that works out for you. I'm going with 1 NVIDIA GTX 580. I thought about going with 2 GTX 480's, but figured 1 580 would do better. As soon as I start this job I'm ordering that PC that I showed you! Can't wait.

  • So I just got through all 23 pages. A little background on me and some thoughts.

    I'm a PC gamer and am a vet of 1942, Vietnam, 2142, BC2 and all the DLC in between. I've changed SNs for this game release because I'm not entirely sold on Origin yet. Currently, I play Homefront and am the #10 globally ranked player (the leaderboard still has two hackers on it who has since been banned, so I'm actually 8th).

    My gaming rig is pretty modest: Laptop, Windows7, i7, 6GB ram, mid range video card.

    I typically don't clan it up, but for homefront I'm in TAW (taw.net).

    I currently work as an ER doc at tOSU medical center. I see GSWs all day, and it's nice to come home and cause a few myself since I don't have to stitch anyone back up.

    I'm an achievement whore: I have every single battle achievement for every single bf game listed above...except one.

    Thoughts? Looks great. Still waiting for a shot at the beta so I can light it up. Glad commo rose is still there and that they added the glare to the scopes. Not impressed with the knife animation time either. Also, no word on what they will do to prevent 20 Carl Gustav noobs from running around the map.

    I've played enough recon to get a feel for the position but that's about it. Mostly I feel like a waste of space out there. There have been a few times when i've gotten hot and have dominated games as a recon so obviously it does have value, and i've on occasion been driven crazy by other snipers that won't let you get out from under cover, but when half your team is snipers camping just hoping to get a kill and ignoring the objectives it's pretty annoying.

    As far as people running around with rocket launchers there isn't really much that can be done. It is annoying but they usually don't give me to much trouble.

    The least of my concerns is guys with rocket launchers. Usually they just miss and you shoot them while they are reloading.

  • I guess Demize tweeted that they have removed the M82A3 because of balancing issues. I am kind of disappointed by this.
