How is the multiplayer set up? Different games? COD obviously has Deathmatch, S&D, and what not. Is BF the same way - different games with different objectives?

Conquest is the main game mode that everyone plays. There are are 3 or 4 areas on the map that your team has to control. It is similar to Domination from COD but with tanks and jets and all that jazz.

Then there is rush which has an attacking team and a defending team. The attacking team has to reach and destroy the m-com stations and the defending team has to try and stop them.

Then you have your standard game modes like team death match. The newest Battlelog which I posted earlier actually explains all the different game modes.

I'm definitely getting it when I get a couple paychecks under my belt at my new job.

Conquest is true Battlefield. That is really all you need. It has anywhere from 3 to 4 flags on the map. Say there are 3 flags. One team has 1 flag, the other team has 2 flags. The team with only one flag will lose spawn tickets at a certain rate. If they capture the second flag, then the other team will lose spawn tickets. Dying and spawning also take away spawn tickets. The team that runs out of tickets first loses. Huge maps.

Rush is another mode. There are anywhere from 4 to 5 bases that the defenders are defending. Each base has 2 mcoms that the attackers are trying to set and destroy. After both mcoms are destroyed, the map moves on to the next base, and the defenders are trying to hold them off from that base and so on. Long, linear maps.

Squad deathmatch. 4 teams of 4 in deathmatch. Smaller maps.

Team deathmatch. 12 vs. 12 deathmatch. This is new to the Battlefield series, so no idea how big the maps will be.

Team death match isn't new but it is the first time since 1942. I doubt I ever play team death match.

I think there is a pin in bad company that you get for winning every time of multiplayer game. If there is something like that then I will play.

I don't know if you'd be interested, but if we have enough people we could set up a 24/7 Sports team or clan. When the game gets released we could get it set up pretty quickly and I'd be more than willing to help.

That sounds good to me. I don't know how many we need for a clan but if we have enough I think we should do it.

Yes but I think they said you can communicate with other squads. So if we can get in games with more than one squad we will he tough to beat.
