I see UM winning 1 out of every 4 or 5 games while we have Dantonio. He's just too good.

I agree with you. With 3 less schollies over the next 3 years, and maybe a MAX of 15-17 kids for this class as of now, I have no problem waiting for other targets to drop instead of just taking kids from Ohio for the sake of taking kids from Ohio. We really do not have enough room right now for a very large class and it appears about every player on the team currently is buying into the new system being installed. I don't see many (if any) kids leaving. Maybe 1 or 2 but reports are that these kids are buying into it.

OTOH, Meyer has only been on the job for a little over 4 months. He's just now starting to develop relationships with kids. Hoke has had well over a year to establish relationships and scout players. Meyer is playing catch up and still offering as he and his staff continue to evaluate kids. I think the real picture of Meyer's recruiting will be 2014 after developing/establishing relationships for 2 full years. I think he's done a pretty damn good job being hired November 28, turning a class just inside, to just outside the top 25 into a top 3 within 3 months. Now we have moved up to number 9 with Baugh.

There's a LOT of talent in Ohio; basically the feeder state for the midwest with Pennsylvania right behind. Meyer may offer or not offer Ohio kids. Some will come to Columbus and some will go elsewhere. Impossible to keep all players instate. Hoke has done a fantastic job getting the players he deems worthy for his system. Meyer isn't ignoring the state of Ohio. If he feels a TE is better from California over Ohio then so be it. He has a national presence with 2 crystal trophies to show for. (2 crystal trophies from a fanbase that is so ungrateful -- Meyer placed Florida on the map!)

Anyways, I think it's silly we have these stupid threads when anyone commits to either school. I understand poking and jabbing at your rivals but boy does it look stupid. lol

I think both schools should be proud of their coaches and that BOTH coaches understand THE GAME and what it means to both Ohio State & Michigan. I look forward to the mighty battles that will ensue in the coming years from with my Wolverine brethren. Because without Hoke & Meyer carrying the tradition (Hoke calling tOSU 'Ohio' and Meyer placing Michigan with 'That School Up North' on the official schedule at the WHAC, etc.), the rivalry would continue to be one-sided which in return, would not make this much of a rivalry at all.

They don't make HBO documentaries about nuthin', amiright?
