You have to start at a beginners level. If you started with anything else liked advanced or above you would not be able to do the poses. That ish is bad ass. I did it for a while & got into the best shape of my life. I'm looking to get back into it because the benefits of yoga are endless. I used to be one of those guys that thought it was for women & believe me its anything but.

I know it isn't the real deal, but me and my buddy did P90x yoga for the first time in our lives and i thought i was dying. I made it through 40 minutes. It is gonna take some build up and a lot of patience but in about 2 months i can get through it i think lol

This is why I did Thai Massage, they force you through the pain cause I couldn't handle it at first
I could barely touch my knees when I got into stretching and was pathetically out of shape in terms of flexibility
Thai Massage is not cheap but they will speed up your progression by leaps and bounds

I am about as cocky as anyone could possibly be about their fitness and athleticism, anytime I need a bit of humbling I just go do a yoga class. No matter how good you think your kinesthetic awareness or proprioception are, there will be some 70yr old ladies in the class doing stuff you couldn't dream of doing. It's just like anything else, you have to start off at ground zero with yoga.

I agree, My wife is Chinese American and has done yoga since she was a little girl...I do simple yoga compared to what she can do. Her yoga routine actually is mixed with meditation, sometimes her face is filled with tears when she is done, not in pain, just deep concentration.

yup
All they are doing is risking serious injury but loosing up their muscles too much to wear they will rip themselves up
That is why I trust my guy cause he is thai born and raised and the chicks that work there at his school of thai massage up here in DC are as legit as it gets
My 2 hour sessions that I do around once a month are 200 bucks and Im a member and get 30% off of them
But without it I would have never reached the yoga level Im at now yet alone be able to do it by myself
