Best DBs

  • Who have the best DBs in tha nation?? A top 5???
    FSU?
LSU? Honey Badger n Reid, lose MoClaiborne
    Texas??
    Bama? Lost Barron, Kirkpatrick
    Georgia?
USC has a chance to be top 5. Nickell Robey is Pac12s best Corner, Isiah Wiley started at the end of tha year at.CB and is becoming really good, TJ Mcdonald = top safety in College Fball, Jawanza Starling will be a third year starter is average but should be better,.had a.knAck for.big plays last year. Great Depth, but lack of pass rush could.hurt us.

  • We have the potential to be really good. Lester, Miliner, and Sunseri will all be really good. We need a couple more guys to step up. We have plenty of talent competing back there. I think we will field one of the better Defensive backfields once again but that could just be the homer in me. LSU will be very good. That much I do know.

    bamabum5

  • Add Tharild Simon who is like Claiborne, been great every game but overshadowed by the talent with mo, Peterson and Mathieu.

He is 6'3", looks like Cromatie. Best cover corner on the team.

Eric Reid.. Dude is a 4.0 student and a physical freak.

    Honey badger..

    Craig Loston.. 5***** Safety.

I don't know if we are the best but we're up there for sure.

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

  • LSU and Alabama always have good secondaries, so I would automatically put those two in the group. I'm pretty confident that Florida State will fit somewhere in there with all the talent we have back there. Terrence Brooks will be a house hold name after this season.

I agree that we have the potential to be top five. I don't think you can say it's going to be top five preseason though. It's tough to say that we are going to be top five when we are replacing three starters, although Milliner did start his true freshman year. Fulton looked real good in our spring game and I also expect HCD to step up this year. I'm just going to be cautiously optimistic.

  • it's Texas. Vaccaro is the best safety in the country. Byndom is a future first round pick, Diggs probably is too, but his size might hold him back. We dont have Gideon to hold us back anymore. Adrian Phillips is really good can play corner, safety, nickel, dime. Josh Turner former top 100 player, broke out this spring can play safety or corner, probably our 5th db right now. Orlando Thomas, incoming freshman corner has really played well this spring. Mykkele Thompson and Sheroid Evans former 4 stars will get playing time at safety and are athletic freaks, track fast.

  • Bama

    Milliner, Fulton, Lester, Sunseri, Clinton-Dix

Belue, Dixon, Collins, Smith, Williams (If they felt like it)

Plus they have Nick Saban coaching them. Having Saban as a coach basically gives you an extra All American off the rip.

They lose three starters (two first round talents) and it's like meh big deal.

I'm wondering how much Landon Collins will play this year. You have to think he's not going to redshirt but with HCD, Sunseri and Lester back there he just may. As hard as that is to imagine, I would think Saban wouldn't waste a redshirt on Collins just for special teams sake.

I honestly think Williams is going to be a WR for us. He probably would have ended up back there if we didn't get Collins but once we signed Collins I think it made Williams to WR inevitable.

Your also forgetting about Nick Perry who isn't a slouch either. Bradley Sylve has also moved to CB.

I don't know man. Looking down the line at safety, I think it's in the best interest of the team to redshirt him, but I don't know what Saban told him in recruitment so depending on how he does in the summer, who knows?

See I think we've found a depth at WR we didn't think we add. I think Williams goes secondary unless he starts the summer as a WR and goes all Julio or something.

I think Williams wants to play WR though doesn't he? That might have been one of those things he promised Williams during recruiting him as well. I honestly don't know but I do remember him saying he preferred to play offense.

I wouldn't put him in the bust category, but it's taking him longer than expected to absorb the playbook. That and Terrence Brooks was just severely underrated by all recruiting services.

I think Williams is still trying to decide if he wants to give a damn or not.

If he does, he's a top ten draft pick.

Good point. Could end up a Calloway situation, though.

Well Calloway is playing offense like he wanted to and looks like he actually might get some significant playing time this year as an H Back.

Yeah but he isn't a RB though. I doubt Eddie wants to be a H-back just to be on offense.

No he tore up Blake Gideon and Diggs was a true freshman. last year was the first year Byndom started as well.

I get what your saying but I'm sure Saban let Calloway have his shot at RB from the beginning. He then probably went to him and told him that your about sixth on our depth chart and will never see the field at that position. I'm assuming that he told him that he got his shot but would be a valuable asset to the team at H-back and get significant playing time.

I'm just guessing here but I would assume that if Saban told Williams that after giving him a chance at WR and saw that it wasn't working out that he could be buried in the depth chart or get significant playing time in the secondary that Williams would go that way. I still think Saban is going to give him every opportunity to begin his career at WR.

Word. I just feel that Bell,White,Jones,Black,Coop, and Norwood he's going to need to ball to get up that depth chart. Which he is capable to do, so well see.
