Hard to say when he's only a true Sophomore. He just seems like one of those three star guys that was WAY undervalued when it came to recruiting. There are a lot of white guys at LB'r and so on that weren't highly recruited in high school that are studs in the NFL now. I think he is going to be one of those guys but it's only a guess. Maybe not the most athletically gifted player when it comes to speed or vertical jump but can just play the game. He can hit like hell as well which is big for a safety. Seems to be real good in coverage as well.

I jokingly told a friend once that when Sunseri gets a major college award, he should thank Luginbill for his glowing remarks on his recruiting status---"tweener career special teams player who is only getting a scholarship because of his dad".

I really don't remember Fulton much in the spring game. I only watched it once live, though. That could be a good thing---no big mistakes--and a bad thing---no positive plays.

It's going to be interesting with HCD and Collins being on campus. Both are such highly regarded safeties. HCD had the extra year, though.

Sunseri is going to be a stud for all four years at Alabama. He probably won't play in the NFL, but he is so smart and such a football player he just gets it done. I love that kid (no homo).

Fulton looked better than I thought he would in the spring game. He was glued to his man the whole time. AJ just made some really good throws. I think our corners Belue Milliner and Fulton will be really good. I know the defense we run is very complicated but I just cant imagine Collins not seeing the field. The kid is a playmaker.

No doubt, he is So Fla too which adds a little luster for the scouts imo

I think he has a great season, little fragile but hopefully it all comes together

He is capable of being the best corner on the team by a healthy margin and that isn't a knock of anybody else

He just can be that good

This is why people were talking about him leaving for the NFL after last season (see video)

He was REALLY dominant at times for a RS-Freshman. The obvious assumption is that he would improve enough the next year (last season) to warrant the departure. Injuries and a few inconsistencies prevented that thankfully. I expect him to be a shut down corner this year, he's too damn talented. That's assuming he's 100% healed from his leg injury.

  • Sunseri is a very good safety. Kid has deceptive speed and athleticism but his smarts and toughness are top notch. He is ring to be awesome. I worry about our 2nd corner and the nickel/dime corners but Sunseri/Lester/Miliner are going to be very good IMO.

Yeah he did but it looks like he's on the second string at best. He damn well may redshirt unless he comes in during the Summer and balls out. It's tough to learn Saban's system after only one Spring though. Menzie had the same issue.

He looked okay. I have to think that he's behind Milliner, Fulton and even Belue right now. Belue is new to the system as well and heard he's just looking better. We'll get a better idea in the summer. Bradley Sylve might be ahead of him right now too.

  • Virginia Tech always has one of the nation's best secondaries under DB coach Torrian Gray. This year should be no different, led by Kyle Fuller and Antone Exum.

Nah NoVaNoles knows it's true. It seems like every year VT has an elite pass defense and produces an All American in the secondary.

I personally like VT and don't know how they do it. When you guys played us we outgained you by over 300 yards I think but somehow your special teams always keeps you close. I've always like VaTech's program though. I'm partial to FSU because of Bowden and his ties to the state of Bama and now Fisher being the coach and his ties to Saban but I do like VaTech. I was actually hoping when the expansion talk started after Nebraska and Colorado left that the SEC would take VaTech and FSU but it wasn't meant to be I guess.

I'm still happy with A&M and Mizzou though. Would have rather it been your two schools though.

it's Texas. Vaccaro is the best safety in the country. Byndom is a future first round pick, Diggs probably is too, but his size might hold him back. We dont have Gideon to hold us back anymore. Adrian Phillips is really good can play corner, safety, nickel, dime. Josh Turner former top 100 player, broke out this spring can play safety or corner, probably our 5th db right now. Orlando Thomas, incoming freshman corner has really played well this spring. Mykkele Thompson and Sheroid Evans former 4 stars will get playing time at safety and are athletic freaks, track fast.

Lmao at your Vacarro comment. Ummm... No

I am as big of a Bama fan as anyone on here but it's homer talk to say that Milliner is a 1-3 Corner in the draft next year. I know you said 'could' but he didn't show me anything on the field that merits that much confidence. He has the talent to do so but until he shows it on the field that is a bit of a stretch.

Been away so couldn't respond. I don't think its a homer statement. That's actually why I come to tBB... so I can give opinions w/out having to be a homer. Either way, most mocks have him going in the 1st round next year... even though mocks a year out aren't exactly trustworthy, I don't think its that far off base.

Aside from Milliner, I don't know about the rest of the Bama folks on this board, but do you remember the spring when Fulton and Milliner were true Freshman? It seemed as though Fulton was a lockdown corner, but he couldn't pick up the scheme like Saban would require. I think Fulton ends up turning some heads this year.

    I would agree.

Outside of that one catch that Kenny Bell made on him, which really wasn't his fault, he looked damn good in that game. He was blanketed Kenny on that play and McCarron just made a perfect pass. He couldn't have covered him any better.

  • UGA cant even fill out a 2-deep in their secondary especially now with suspensions. Cant be one of the best if you dont get on the field to help your team. Right now I would say
    1) LSU
2)Texas-until I see how much better Adrian Phillips is over Blake Gideon, UT stays #2
    3)FSU

    ROACHCLIP

  • all of y'all are crazy if you don't have miss state in talks for top 5 secondary. we have 7 legit corners 5 legit safeties. Jonathan banks is the #1 corner for 2012. he has been a starter since his fr. year and also Corey Broomfield has been a starter since his fr. year. Darious slay is a shut down corner is is better than banks and Broomfield.
