Best Meal or Restaurant you've ever had or been to

I don't eat out much and am hardly a conniseur but best salmon I ever had was at the Tonga Room in San Francisco. Smoked Salmon: wasabi mash teppan yaki vegetables ginger soy reduction. Best Italian(American) was at Salvatores in Cabo San Lucas, serving of Lasagna was as big as your head. And the best BBQ was pulled pork sandwiches from my own backyard.

Nice butts...looks like you got some good bark. The smoke ring could use a little work, maybe another quarter inch, but can't really tell from the picture. What'd you rub with?

I tend to try different rubs almost every time just to see how it turns out. Some I make myself, some are store bought. My wifes favorite is probably Williams Sonoma Smoke House Rub, it's one of the better storebought ones i've tried. Will mix up the wood too, usually some combination of oak, apple and pecan. Pork butts are really the only thing I have perfected. I cook on a Weber Bullet.

TOMMY BURGER..LOS ANGELES..... RAMPART BLVD AND THE HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY

They haven't cleaned the grill since it opened over 60 years ago. That's why it's so damn good. It's actually Beverly and Rampart a little off the freeway.

There's a Tommy's a mile from my house and it isn't even close to being as good.

I use the 18.5 weber bullet myself. Love playing around with rubs. Usually a good base of salts (onion and garlic), pepper, and brown sugar. I had a paprika and cumin heavy rub recently that was out of this world.

The bullet makes a phenomenal rack of ribs and brisket as well. Need to mop the ribs and brisket constantly though, so more work than butts.
