    The only people i have really seen sweat Lutz are fans of Auburn or somebody from the state of Alabama

    Lutz is good, but tyler is better as a pass catching TE and that is where the money is at in the NFL as the pass catching TE is in its golden era

    Some good lists in here. I think I like yours the best, except Lotulelei over Floyd. Floyd is a force in the middle, but isn't as good as Lotulelei IMO.

I'm not saying Lutzenkirchen is better than whatever TE seems to be the consensus best cause I haven't watched enough of other tight ends to know, but I will say that Lutz is going to drag his ballbag across the entire SEC this season and that where he's actually drafted will be far, far, far higher than any mock out there has him now.

    Uhh, Brad Wing gave up a TOTAL OF 7 RETURN YARDS ALL YEAR.

    End of story.. And he was a True Freshman..Ex Aussie Rules football player.

    Yup Eifert is a Beast. 6'5" 250. Very athletic. Needs to gain a little weight IMO.

    Funny thing is that ND has a player who could be as good or better than him in Soph Troy Niklas. Played OLB last year but is up to 6'7" 260lb and very athletic for his size. He may need a year or two but he will be a beast.

    But Tyler is the kind of TE who can put up numbers like 90+ grabs for well over a grand

    Lutz could too i guess, like i said its close imo

  • I just watched Eiferts highlight film and I have to admit this kid is very impressive. Runs good routes and knows how to get open. He is also a good bit quicker than Lutz. I know he is listed as a TE but this kid is a big possession reciever IMO. His blocking is suspect and he needs to learn to catch the ball with his hands and not his body. He will easily put up better stats than Lutz, but is no where near as versatile. Lutz can play every down at the next level inside our out. This first film shows his deficiency as a blocker and the trouble he has when he tries to catch the ball in a cradle, the second film is flat out sick when he is split out wide. Still a tossup to me, but I can definitely see where all the hype comes from.

  • I would say Eifert or Stonebruener (sp?) from tOSU are the top TE's, but Lutz is a better football player, IMO. He is not as prototypical as the others, but for a NFL team that runs a one-back system, he would be a perfect fit as he could be a FB in Jumbo packages, an Hback, and a TE.

    The others may be more of a typical TE and may get mentioned for the awards, but I would want Lutz on my team before either.
