That is what I was saying in my original statement when it came to Griffey. If it wasn't for his injuries, I think he would be hands down the best player of all time. One hell of a center fielder along with the sweetest swing I've ever seen in my life. There was also never a question of him using steroids for his power. He was always pretty damn skinny until he got fat from not being able to work out due to his injuries. Sad story honestly.

Who should it be.
Ruth is the biggest sporting figure in American history. Kings and queens wanted to be in the presence of the Babe. The man was a God. Hit tennis balls with tree trunks over 500ft parks. Hell they built a palace for the man. Was and still is the GOAT.

Everything you mentioned has nothing to do with being the best that played a sport of all time. Greatest entertainer? Maybe you have an argument.
He was a fat drunk that was great at entertaining royalty. That doesn't make him the best at sports of all time. It makes him The Situation.

I don't know if I have a problem with someone saying Ruth was the greatest. You could name ten players and I really wouldn't argue any of them. My issue is with Irishimpact saying that Bonds isn't in that same discussion. I can't argue Ruth because it has been said he was a better pitcher than he was a hitter.

If you really think about it that's a silly thing to say as far as the NFL goes. I don’t think HGH is a problem in the pro sports. I think the more we talk about it, the bigger problem it will become, because people who had no idea it existed are now being told it’s a wonder drug that can’t be tested for. The real harm with all this HGH talk is the effect it will have on high school and college sports. If those kids think their sports heroes are on something, they’re going to get on it too. But from everything I’ve read, the effects of HGH aren’t that drastic. So why is a pro athlete going to bother with that uncertainty? Why seek out, acquire, and inject a substance that might help them out a tiny bit?

Eh, I'm done.
I know a few things:
1. You're a Lebron "fan", so you're never going to give MJ his due.
2. There are many more MLB players that could be considered best ever at their sport than NBA players. Seriously, list the Top-Tier all time. There's much more an argument in MLB, and that's just one sport.BamaShack

I said MJ was the best ever. To dribble a basketball. But do a little reading and marvel at George Hurman Ruth. Greatest American Sporting figure ever. That's really an easy statement. Did it all before tv as well. Built the most storied palace since the Colisum for the man. History is a cool thing.
GOAT.
