    Good call on Ron Simmons.

Plus, he was a member of Doom!

Little known fact: He was a teammate of Lex Luger's on the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL.

Both of those players were before my time, but I have seen highlights of them and they were damn good during their time. Plus those two were probably FSUs first great players on both sides of the ball.

    Definitely

I would also take John Hannah and Dwight Stephenson over Namath as well.

    Career or College only?

I'll go Fred Biletnikoff / Deion Sanders

  • Michigan's pretty easy.

    Offense: Tom Harmon
    Defense: Charles Woodson

Anthony Carter could be there for offense.

I was talking more college, because if it was their entire career Fred and Deion win easily since they are in both the college and NFL hall while both Rons are only in the college hall.

I still like Fred for college. Dudes got the "Best WR" award named after him...that's about as good as it gets IMO.

But, we have a lot to choose from at FSU.

I still think "Greatest Player"-wise Brooks should be over Vince Young for wearing #10...but whatever...

Here's kind of a good example (NFL stats):

In 1942, Hutson had 74 receptions. 2nd place was 27.

He has 1211 yards receiving. 2nd place was 511.

He had 17 touchdowns and scored 138 points. 2nd place among all players in the NFL was 8 TDs and 54 points.

He also had 457 more yards from scrimmage than any other player in the NFL that year.

He is still 16th in the NFL in TDs scored by any player and his record of 105 stood for 20 years until broken by Jim Brown. His career TD receptions at 99, is still 10th, and that record wasn't broken until 1989 by Steve Largent.

But Ron still holds many receiving records even with a lot of great receivers to come after him, and he played in less games than the majority of them.
