Best team to get left out of the title game?

I'm sure Miami was better at the end of that year, but if we go by your logic than I guess 2002 USC should have taken Miami's spot in the title game Vs Ohio St in 2002, since USC was probably the best team in the country at the end of that year, nevermind the 2 early losses.

Miami was undefeated that year and they didn't lose a game in almost 3 years, they were also favored by 12 points vs OSU in that title game. What are you talking about?

I'm talking about the language of ridiculous, which is the language you used when saying Miami instead of Washington should have played in the title game vs OU in 2000, despite losing head to head vs Washington.

    Hmmmm

Since 2000, the Pac10 & Utah are 38-23 (62%) vs the SEC, ACC,
and the 2 Big East schools in the south = all the Southern AQ schools.

    BCS Picked
    1998-FSUe
    2000-FSUe
    2001-Nebraska
    2003-LSU and OU
    2006-Florida
    2007-LSU
    2008-Florida and OU
    2011-Alabama

Same record at teams above, but not picked by BCS

    1998-Ohio St, Wisconsin, and UCLA
    2000-Washington
    2001-Oregon
    2003-USC
    2006-Michigan
    2007-USC, several others
    2008-USC, Texas
    2011-Oklahoma St, Stanford

It's blatant, the bcs repeatedly picks the teams who play against the weakest teams
(other Southern teams) when they have the same record as teams from the
West Coast, which has been the strongest region since 2000.

    Hmmmm indeed

Good thing Matt Leinart didnt get rattled in his 1st start, which was across country in a hostile environment. Although, I guess it wouldnt have mattered since Auburn never crossed SC's 35 yard line.

    2000 Miami ( pick-em with FSU )

    2003 USC

    2008 USC

Just think, that 2004 USC team could have had WR Mike Williams (It would have been his Jr year) and I think WR Steve Smith missed about 6 games with injury that year.

Auburn could have had Bo Jackson at RB, and they still would have lost to USC in 2004.

Amazing when you think that that 2004 USC team started the season against VTech, played them across the country....with a brand new offensive line. The only returning player on the line was Fred Matua; first time starting center, redshirt sophomore center, Ryan Kalil; RT pulled from the JC ranks, Deuce Latui - who never played with the team before, due to Winston Justice suspension for the year....first time starting together as a unit.

First game, and USC beat Vtech by a greater margin than Auburn in the bowl game at the end of the season.

USC would have killed Auburn, just as they shut them out the year before - with that cadillac and brown guy, and their QB.
