Better football player tebow or newton.....

I was pointing out that both offenses were meant to use option and misdirection to leave a receiver open across the middle, deep, or where ever. Both Urban and Malzhan's offenses used the threat of runs, options, and what not to take the pressure of reading a defense off the quarterback somewhat.

The article posted was comparing Tebow's completion % to Eli and Petyon's in college saying that he was just as accurate and I just responded that the same could be said for Cam and I wouldn't say he was acutally just as accurate as Eli and Peyton either.

I think physically Cam is better and if you look down the line, you have to think Cam should be better. My only point is that once a QB proves that he can be a legit starting QB in the league, the judgement becomes wins and losses for that position and I don't really care what stats say. Scott Mitchell had amazing stats with the Lions in the 90's and Dante Cullpepper had amazing stats with the Vikings as well, but.......

It's too early to grade Cam in that regard as I don't hold him accountable for the Panthers not making the playoffs last year. As a team, they made good improvements across the board and it seems that they should do the same this year. A .500 record or maybe a wildcard appearance should be a goal this year, but that's a tough division. With Tebow, you can point to a playoff win against the Steelers and bringing a team back from a 1-4 start. The guy isn't that bad and I wish we could have gotten to see what he would have done with a full offseason with the Broncos as the starter, but now we'll never know.

Now that Cam has proven he can be the guy, people are going to expect playoffs and down the line a deep playoff run and eventually a trip to the Super Bowl. Without doing that, you become a Phillip Rivers, who is very talented, but just doesn't get it done.

I can agree with all of this.

Carolina was top 5 in offensive production this yr.

Their D had major injuries, hence their bad record.

The talent is way better than Denver on offense.

They were bottom 5 before Cam showed up, fwiw.

I can't believe this one is still going on.

You have to think that the Jets have pleaded with Tebow not to do anything to make Sanchez anymore of a basketcase than he already is so I would expect Tebow to try and take a backseat to Sanchez as much as possible off the field.

With Ryan though, you never know what he may have planned though. The guy is a loon/good football coach. He may end up being one of those deadset on proving Tebow can win in the NFL. Who knows?

    Agree with this

Kind of seems obvious since Cam's career was only one year.

I've never seen such a debate in my life. So much of an argument over everyone agreeing, except for a couple Florida fans, which is understandable.
