Big 10: Richest conference. Big 12: Richest per school.

Why expand? Seriously, why expand?
We see what expansion has done to the SEC. It really waters down the schedules for certain teams. I like the round robin format. Yea, it adds an extra loss to half the conference automatically, but its still good for the fans that everyone plays everyone. Plus, these numbers do not include the tier 3 rights that the Big 12 schools own. For example, Kansas made an extra $6.5 Million just for their tier 3 rights.

Yes today those numbers might be true. The SEC is renegotiating those tv rights as we speak and getting ready to launch an SEC network. When thags done lets revisit those numbers. It wont be close.

B1G richest off, poorest on. They are the new Big East. With the exception of tO$U & Meechigan. They have carried that crappy conference for a long time now. OSU & UM should split the revenue & every other school should get a dollar for participating.

Well, the Big Ten has a new contract coming up in a few years that is going to blow everything out of the water. It's all a timing issue.

Yeah, as the article mentions, the Big 12 is also in its first year of a new TV deal. Big Ten has been on the same TV deal for a long time (something like 10 years?). Big Ten will be getting plenty of money when they renegotiate their deal in a couple years.

Yep, 6 or 7 years now (off a 10 year contract). By far the longest out of any of the major conferences. It just shows you what an amazing thing the BTN has been.
