Big 12 is just a puppet being played by slive and Delaney. Slive already got two of his teams. That decision to do the big12/sec bowl game was a strategic move to criple the acc and get his other two teams.
Not to mention fsu Clemson would be sec if we offered.

That's how it is currently top to bottom! I find it comical that the Big10 and pac 10 folk even think they are in the realm of what the SEC and big12 do on the field ..
Off the field, with the GOR that the Big12 has makes them the most stable of any of the conferences by the simple fact that it would be impossible to survive a move to another conference from any of its members
USMCAG and Status y'all are embarrassing spewing that sh!t , you support one of the biggest laughing stocks of a team there is in any league and are about to be the SEC jizz rag. You shouldn't even have a voice in any debate over anything college football.

Your even dumber than I give you credit for if you think any of those Leagues rejected Texas in the last realignment. Just completely moronic.
1. we didn't apply to any league 2. Bebee's last minute deal saved anyone one from moving out of the conference (including you welchers) 3. Its Texas there are prob 3 or 4 teams in the country that would produce the payout that texas does. I sure they would all pass

The Big 12 and the SEC are not unlike any other BCS conference...two great teams, a few good teams and some mediocre teams. So don't go getting all arrogant on us now. You put Oklahoma or Oky State or Bama or LSU in the big Ten and they'll stumble a few times. You think it's gonna' be easy playing AT Ohio State? Or AT Wisconsin? Or AT Clemson ar AT FSU? Cool your jets there big boy.

The problem the SEC faces is that they went from 12-14 by adding two teams that are mediocre at football, to put it charitably. Track and Field doesn't put money in the coffers. So the SEC could add any two teams that it chooses and the Big 12 could have its pick of the schools that are left and still emerge as the stronger conference. Notre Dame is the prize. They would never consider the SEC for the same reasons Texas would never consider the SEC - not our standard. Just adding 4 Notre Dame football games with the right opponents would add more value to the TV contracts than the value all of the Aggy and Missouri conference games combined (as in double).
There is going to be a lot of money flowing in from the Big 12/SEC bowl game and the new playoff games. A huge amount. The Big 12 splits theirs 10 ways, the SEC, 14 ways. The Big 12 has Texas and Oklahoma. That alone ensures they will always be one of the top football conferences. They can afford to be very selective. I think that FSU/Clemson make the cut, but if the Big 12 holds out for FSU/Notre Dame, then more power to them.

Like I said the other day, TAMU is the new South Carolina and their fans will say "we" a trillion times to reiterate that they are members now.
B12 is going to add FSU, Clemson, ND and GT then it will be every bit as strong as the B1G and SEC. Pac 12 isn't deep enough and has no good expansion optionss

The Notre Dame athletic department is too stupid to join a conference. They are in the process of slowly slitting their throats and are too arrogant to realize it. So don't get your hopes up that Notre Dame will ever join anything. But if they do, it will be the Big Ten.

I love all the Husker and aggy folk running over to spread their BS rumors and crap that has been repeated by their penis envy fans so much that they actually believe the crap that they made up. Getting owned by a school for decades apparently does weird things to your mind.

The B12 doesn't even hold the cards in its own survival. If FSU, ND and Clemson turn the B12 down, the B12 will be left with Louisville and ???. Not exactly the same picture you get when you think of FSU and Clemson (or ND) signing up to be #s 11 and 12. The SEC, B12 and P12 have the future of CFB in their hands right now and the B12 is very, very lucky it just signed a bowl agreement that allows it to ride the SEC's coattails for the next five years. The B12 is along for the ride.

I think SEC and the B1G hold the cards right now. They could offer any of the ACC teams and they would jump in a heartbeat without even caring what the B12 said. P12 is a bit too far away to really pull anyone currently. They aren't going to pull much out of the B12 anymore and they couldn't go after a ACC school.

Nonsense, you've been listening to closely to your new conference mates.
Texas's first and only preference was to save the Big 12. Texas only flirted with leaving when it looked like the Big12 was about to crumble around it, and even then Texas's plan was to save the entirety of the Big 12 South and keep its regional partners. Once it looked like the Big 12 could be saved and even made stronger as a 10 team league, Texas was on board with that from the beginning and was the biggest fighter for the Big 12.
I would be very surprised if Deloss wasn't one of the main proponents of the GOR to stabilize its best interests - a regional conference with traditional partners that let it keep its 3rd tier rights.
Just because other schools left because of their their jealousy and penis envy of Texas (A&M and Nebraska namely) does not make that Texas's fault.
No one had any objection to the LHN before they saw how much money Texas was going to bring in off of it. Individual 3rd tier rights is now one of the highlights and attractions for the Big 12. And Nebraska and Missouri started flirting with other conferences well before the $$ for the LHN was announced.
