    Don't know why Muschamp isn't on a 6-4 257 LB junior whose coach says is better than Demarcus Walker, but that's be a pretty sweet pull for the Noles.

    Sandalwood will have been quite good to them these past two cycles.

    So McClain is pretty well thought of? I was figuring he was average, that's nice.

    Pettway is a good pickup because he is coming in as a role player for a specific role and he was our staffs absolute first choice for it. So not much flash but a lot of substance there.

    McClain. 6-foot-4 and 257 pounds, picked up his fifth offer from Auburn Monday. He also has offers from Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina and West Virginia.

    Geis believes McClain has a bigger upside than Walker, a 4-star defensive end who enrolled at Florida State in January.

    “He’s probably one of the top ten basketball players in north Florida. He’s just a great athlete,” Geis said. “He’s going to be a 270 or 275 pound defensive end for us this year. DeMarcus was just so powerful. That was his game. I don’t think you’d call him a great athlete.

    “But Blake has a chance to be an unbelievable athlete. He may project as the best player we’ve had in a while. He’s very tall, very lean. He has a big, big upside. He’s a really good kid too.”

    Maybe I am wrong but Thornton just needs to chill hell out and wait 2-3 months. He has been jacked about committing to three teams so far. He seems to actually mean it with UF but good grief, sit a few weeks out and commit in June lol

    Makes sense, thanks. Demarcus would have been a fool to go to Bama as a Jack but as a LE in our system he should be really good. Sounds like McClain actually could be a jack.

    Daub looks like Rey Mauluga out there. Fwiw from some recruiting reports it seems we are showing kids some definite movement towards a 3-4 base defense. I bet we are 50/50 by 2014.

    Yeah, he's a little caught up in the process. He'll commit soon - we are his childhood favorite - but he's one I'd keep an eye on the whole way.

    Doesn't mean I won't go nuts when he commits, though. Thornton and Miller is a helluva start at DE/LB.

    We heard the same which we thought might be sour grapes haha. Yeah Justin Thornton has elite potential. Needs to redshirt but will be a terror after that!

    I obviously only got to watch SO. year film since he was hurt last year, but he was a really natural runner. Pretty telling to that he got an offer from Saban on the spot when he camped at Alabama.

    Have there been post-injury reports on his health?

    I think he is fine in terms of his future, he is a top 200 talent though imo

    He is you standard run of the mill south florida athlete and you can never count those kids out iyam

    Hadnt seen that video but I still look at him as one of those mid-four star types FSU and UF get in droves. Id rather keep him but replacing him isn't some "Oh crap can we?!" kinda experience. Congrats if you get him.
