It's Wu Tang and Tribe for me..... like Outkast a lot, but they are on that next tier IMO.

Best rap group? I'd say Wu Tang is best with A tribe called quest and Public Enemy as 2nd and 3rd. IMO.
Honorable mentions are Black star, Gang Starr, NWA, and The Roots.

I always loved the Lox too...especially when Jada and Styles go back and forth like on "We Gonna Make it"
Also, Gang starr is awesome and Geto Boys too

To all posters on this thread ... finally ya'll speakin my language.
Went out n copped Sir Lucious Leftfoot the day it came out. Top 10 fav rap album of all time ... the fact some of ya'll now just jammin this ... shame on ya'll. Hustle Blood, Tangerine, For Yo Sorrows and Be Still my favs on the album.
Outkast in def in my Top 8 rap groups of all time .. not sure where in that top 8 tho. Others included: Wu Tang, Beastie Boys, UGK, Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five, Gangstarr, Three 6 Mafia & 2 Live Crew.
Other notables: Bone Thugs, NWA, Sugar Hill Gang, Fearless Four, Treacherous Three, Newcleus, T La Rock, LL Cool J (pre 2000) Trick Daddy, Cypress Hill, too short, Camp Lo
I dont listen to the radio cuz that shit is garbage ... newer stuff I've been bumpin tho: Kendrick Lamar, Curren$y (my current fav) Big Boi, Young Roddy and a few others

The only problem with putting Outkast #1 is that they put out that garbage ass Speakerbox/Love Below double album. Speakerbox had some alright stuff on there but Love Below was absolute trash.
Bring on the "you just dont appreciate creativity" nonsense. I've had this argument a hundred times with my boys...Love Below was TRASH.

Okay...gonna have to retract. The reason he is not getting any play is he doesn't do safe conventional hip hop. It's all fire, but it's very similar to Cee-lo's problem before he got "big/pop", Big Boi's albums are all over the place. He doesn't have a particular sound, and it's really hard to market that kind of sound, to any hardcore, of any audience of music. The albums are far to diverse to gain any traction.
