Good to see Tahaan making moves. Kid is a baller.

Yes. Have always liked him. Really got a good look at his ability to play the pass/break on the ball in Vegas this past weekend.

  • Love the bump for D Johnson. Bring it Pitt.

JC- When will some kids outside of the top 247 get looked at/a bump? Guys like Mahon ;)

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.

He is nowhere close to the best pure JACK in this class. Especially considering you were offering that position to Nkemdiche, Liner, etc.

We were offering Liner a Jack spot? That's one huge Jack LB. He's a DE in the 3-4 all the way. As for Nkemdiche, many Bama fans bicker amongst themselves about where he'll end up... as either a DE or Jack. I think DE, but whatever.

When I say pure... oh... nevermind. Not worth the explanation.

3 out of the top 10 would be very nice. It's crazy to think all three will be lined up in the same front 7. Add them to the guys we got in the past few classes and good luck moving the ball. Wow

I day dream in my spanish class about us stopping people over and over on the goal line. They never get through on those guys

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

Oh look, a perceived Bama lean gets a huge bump and is now a 5 star while Auburn commits do nothing but win camp MVP awards and fall in the rankings. I am shocked.

Please proceed to downvote this post.

You can believe that all you want. It is all in your mind, though. It's funny we never ever hear from you guys about an Auburn commit or lean being moved up. It's always about the school up the road for so many of you and I get it, but don't drag me into it. I call it like I see it. Always have.

Allen is a five-star because our guys who have a proven track record of making evaluations think he's a great prospect- simple as that. Same guy that ranked Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins the top receivers in the country when nobody else did (turns out he was right) felt strongly Allen is a five.

Simple as that. I can't change your mind, though. I understand the strong feelings that exist.

We are constantly evaluating. I know Mahon is ranked highly elsewhere but we aren't so sure based on what we know right now.

Who would you take, he or Redfield?

On another note, it's too bad John Johnson wasn't able to participate in Vegas last weekend. He's a problem too.

  • I enjoy following the rankings but don't understand all the butthurt bitching about where a players ranked. Fans on my site were ready to lynch 247 staff when Winston was dropped to a 4* WTF? Noles had enough 5*'s during the lost decade to win 5 nattys. That didn't pan out well. Rankings are fun but more interested in on-field performance.

what additional information? Curious as to what made him drop that bad.

I mean I would not say "bad". I understand some are never satisfied but the kid is still one of the top 247 prospects in America.

We seek feedback from coaches, scouts and other educated sources when we compile our rankings. EJ is one of those situations that happens when a prospect gets out in front with the offers, etc.

I've got Redfield slightly higher but both are great. Yeah of all the Fresno kids, Johnson may end up being the best.

Serious question: Has Johnathan Allenbammer competed in a single camp or done anything this summer to justify his huge jump in the ratings? "Naming Bama his leader." is not an acceptable response to this question.

They are both legit. But that said, Golson is nowhere near Liner, as Liner clearly dominated him and is for certain going to end up at Auburn. Also, lol @ Carl Lawson not in the top 120.

So because of something we read on another network, we don't need to rank the 6-6, 285-pound OT anywhere near the 6-2.5, 255-pound DT because in a one-on-one drill, again that we did not see and that is with no pads and set up for the DL to win?

Yes makes perfect sense to me.

I never thought I'd see the day where fans were complaining about players being ranked "too close together". It's all good, though. I mean, you could just not care, so I respect the passion.
