lol, this is also a board full of men that want to show off for each other. If you think being a home mother of, let's say 2, young children is some hang out session and "work" is much tougher then you are either trolling, showing off for the fellas, or ignorant as crap.

Then at 4:30 you handed those kids off. What if at 4:30 you still had 3 more hours left? And instead of getting there at 8am they woke you up 5:45? And you likely weren't asked to clean the house either but would if you were a mom. And do laundry, dishes, mow the yard, etc.

I did housework and laundry. Never yard work, though. I also drove the six-year-old to her soccer camp daily, and me and the three-year-old hung out and ate ice cream.

I'd still do it over working an 8-5, even with your added stipulations.

lol, no kids. But at my church numerous people (not even majority) home school and there isn't a husband there that's confused as to who's job is harder.

Another evidence that God is kind to make you like that. My wife is like that too and I love it.

So you have no kids but you called out GONIG saying she doesn't know what she's talking about?

Certain people won't allow the notion of [insert concept contrary to their own] because it is counterintuitive of their cause.

You could apply this to most of your involvement in OT/political threads.

And home-schooling (like the example he used re: his church) is completely different than just being a stay-at-home mom.

Im glad one of the people in this thread realized the sacrifices their mother made,

I realize what my Mom did for me. She raised three boys by herself and we were all within a very close age. (I'm the youngest and was a freshman when my oldest brother was a Senior) She worked and had to do all that while having zero help. Don't say I don't realize what she gave up.

"No one is denying that being a mother is a tough job; I remember I was a handful," he said. "But you know there is a big difference between being a mother, and that tough job, and getting your ass out the door at 7 a.m. when it's cold, having to deal with the boss, being in a workplace, or even if you're unhappy you can't show it for eight hours."

You could write a paper on how much fail is in that quote.

He was comparing having a real job, with the "job" that millionaire wife Ann Romney had raising her little brood. You guys really dont get the concept of "context" very well.

Guess you didn't read half of the other posts in here.... There is one guy saying he thinks the quote is very stupid. The rest of us have said it depends on context.

  • It was a stupid idea by the libs to go after stay at home mothers. Overnight they lost the majority in that category and makes you look like an ignorant fool.

You retire from jobs and get a paycheck at the end, no matter how stupid the boss is.

The best part is, Mitt Romney said this four months ago leading up to the New Hampshire primary.

    Here's the full quote:

"While I was [Massachusetts] governor, 85 percent of the people on a form of welfare assistance in my state had no work requirement. And I wanted to increase the work requirement. I said, for instance, that even if you have a child 2 years of age, you need to go to work. And people said, well that’s heartless. And I said no, no, I’m willing to spend more giving day care to allow those parents to go back to work. It will cost the state more, providing that day care. But I want the individuals to have the dignity of work."

So apparently being a stay at home mom is not dignified work according to Mr. Romney.

You mean the one lib that almost all of the left disowned right afterwards.

Don't color the group or anything.

In the latest CNN phone poll (released today), 55% of women think Obama "is in touch with the problems facing women today," as opposed to 27% for Romney.

    Entire poll is linked.
