Blossoming careers that were cut short at your school..

Who were some young stars at your school who had career-ending injuries?
For Alabama, we have had a few. Everyone knows about Prothro. Marvin Constant had all the makings of a 1st Rd MLB, but tote every ligament in his knee making a last sec, 4th and goal stop to beat LSU on the way to the 99 SECC. Kerry Goode was another who looked like an All-World RB, but tore his knee beyond repair in the middle of one of the greatest single game performances in Bama history against BC.
Who were some stars at your school that had a tragic injury leaving you wondering what might have been?

Well besides just physical injury Maurice clarett was batshit crazy. Challenged the NFL, drove around with grey goose and guns etc etc. I think he may have had a concussion or two before jail. I mean damn that guy was just awesome. I wish he could have made it another couple of years in da foooootball.

Brad Lester was never the same after his neck injury against LSU. He went on to the CFL but never ran the ball as hard before the injury.

Cecil Collins was great for that short stay in Baton Rouge. Most impressive running back I've seen at the HS level.. Remember him scoring a TD in BR from about 60 yards out with one shoe on..

It didn't ruin it before ever since that chop block by Auburn.. Dorsey was never the same, he was so ridiculously good before that knee injury.

Yeah, not for an injury though.. I saw him play at Mcneese State lol, he was so much better than anyone on the field, it was ridiculous.

Yup.
In the thread about adding one defensive player and one offensive player to help your team, I initially posted Dorsey on D before editing to Suh. He was dominant and disruptive for sure.

Arturo Freeman was first team All SEC safety his junior year, and pre-season All American before his senior year, which was postponed a year due to torn ACL.
He was never the same player after that, although he did carve out a journeyman NFL career for a few years.

He didn't go to Bama but Deandre Brown , the Wr who attended southern miss . He would have been a top ten pick had he not broke his leg. He was in the same class as Aj Green and Julio

Antoneyo Williams. Signed with Bama in the mid to late 90's and smoked his way off the team. Went to my high school, so I'm obviously biased, but the guy was legit.

Dez Hood (a 4th from St Paul's & AJ's fav childhood target) imo would be a returning starter at WR in 2012 but opted to ink w/ MLB.
