Can someone fix/explain the michigan-Michigan State thread? 8 pages of posts have been deleted and are now ghost pages

I have no idea. Maybe it is a glitch because I doubt anyone of us would delete 8 pages worth of posts.

That thread was started before they were able to fix that glitch, it will be like that until it dies somewhere over 5,000 pages. Better off having it locked and starting a thread with the glitch fixed.

That's my guess. Happened with the LNC thread and we just locked it and started a new one.

It is not because it has too many pages unless you have reached page 5254. Like the daytime crew there was a problem with a server yesterday that they were able to fix but the result was the daytime crew has 10 ghost pages.

The day time crew has 10 to 12 ghost pages right now. It seems the only threads that have those problems are the ones with over 85,000 posts.
