Bo shared carries with 3 other people. Herschel didn't.

Lot of "skewed" stats..... Partial Disclosure. Whichever you prefer. Herschel had significantly more carries in college than Bo as Auburn had 3-4 other RBs on those teams that played in the NFL including another RB that was a top 10 pick.

Don't feel like doing the stats again but I think Bo averaged 20-25% more yards per carry and he was a bigger threat to go the distance on any given carry. Herschel was a workhorse no doubt but Bo was the more feared, dynamic player in terms of yards per touch.

I'm old enough to have seen them both play in college and I'd take Bo.

Kevin Durant is moving up in my favorite All-Time Athletes list. Mama raised him right.

If you could start your college football team with Walker or Bo, which one would you choose?

I still believe Bo has the highest average yards per carry average of any running back that has ever played in the SEC

  • Bo averaged 6.6 yards per carry during his college career, which is highest average of any running back in SEC history that met the minimum requirements. The minimum requirements are 400 carries

    Man.....now that's a different question

-Herschel was more durable and you knew what you were getting every game
-Bo could change the game at any moment.

****Both were "super" freaks. Met a guy at the gym that knew both from college and the NFL. Told me that Herschel and Bo split in college in the 60 yard dash. Herschel briefly held the 60 yard dash World Record until Carl Lewis broke it in the next heat.

Really would depend on what types of players I had around them. UGA had some talent back then. I think they went 10-1 the year after Herschel left but make no mistake....Herschel was a stud.

I saw high schooler Tyren Jones carry the ball about 30x a game this season before he got hurt and it hurt his yards per carry. Think he knew he was the workhorse and "paced" himself accordingly. Perhaps if Herschel had help he would have been more explosive..... Had to conserve energy.

Herschel, Bo and then right behind them, Marcus Dupree were the most physically gifted RBs in terms of raw athleticism. Eric Dickerson was in that mold. Barry Sanders ran high 4.3x and had freaking agility and could dunk at 5'8", 203 pounds...he's in the "freak" category as well but more due to shiftiness.

  • Pic of Herschel racing Carl Lewis. Bo and Herschel were almost like twins in terms of measureables.
