  • Looks like next week is going to be a lot of bloodshed.

I hope that the bitch of a wife of Nucky's is actually gone from the show.

  • The ending was awesome. Three of my favorite characters about to put in work. Richard, Chalky, and Capone... Could be a great ending. I think Richard ends up putting Gyp down.

I think he ends up putting Jimmy's mother down.

  • The episode was good, but the last Capone scene was really overdone. It was almost cartoonish. I liked the realism of the Chalky scenes better.

  • i tried really hard last night to figure out why Chalky has been loyal to Nucky through it all. i was trying to find that one discernible thing Nucky did for Chalky and couldn't come up with anything.

  • The only reason Chalky is Chalky is because of Nucky. Chalky admitted in the end that he is too old to try to establish a new relationship with anyone else. He trusts Nucky more than he could Gip.

But I agree that Nuck didn't deserve his help.

I don't think too many people back then would have treated Chalky the way that Nucky did.

I think Nuck was finally treating Chalky as a equal and he knew he would have to start all over to get that with Gyp.

  • So is any of this even remotely based in truth anymore? I love the show, but I kind of doubt Nucky Thompson had this kind of power amongst people like Masseria and Rothstein.

The real "Nucky" was Nucky Johnson, not Thompson. They changed the name so they could play with history a little bit and alter him as they saw fit. But the real Nucky was pretty powerful: "He was the undisputed 'boss' of the Republican political machine that controlled Atlantic City and the Atlantic County government."

  • I'm not sure this whole thing gets hashed out in an hour long season finale.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few unsettled battles spill over to next season.

My best case finale would be Jimmy's mom and Nucky's wife and kids going down in a hail of gunfire or maybe even a car bomb. Show would be much better without these characters iMO.

I agree. It's a great show but does anybody really give a sh*t about Margaret and her women's health/pregnancy cause? I can't imagine that plot line is being allowed to live for any other reason than to appease what tiny female audience Boardwalk has out there. When Owen was boning her and then knocked her up and they were going to try to run away, that was at least watchable because I thought it might end with Nucky killing them both but now that Owen is dead.....who cares about Margaret??? Please kill her off, let her run away, I don't care just get her off the show. As for Jimmy's mom, she's a true "C" word but at least she runs a whorehouse which brings some much welcomed nudity to the show. That's about all she's good for...

I was excited to see Capone at the end of last night's episode. You knew he was about to gain a lot more power but teaming up with Nucky to take down Gyp and Masseria...gonna be so much blood, so much fun.

Seeing Richard gear up for war made me so happy. I'm hoping he basically turns into a ghost and just starts picking off Gyp's crew until he gains control of the whorehouse and can take Tommy and Julia somewhere safe.

As it is, I think this show is due for some much-needed bloodshed. Killing off Slater advanced the plot, but now that's just one less decent character in Nucky's camp. Although, I think I was actually more disappointed about the fact that now Margaret won't be running away to St. Louis than I was about Slater's death. Margaret seriously needs to be written out somehow.

Pretty sure that it's Luciano that kills Masseria and that is based on actual history. I believe the killing of Masseria begins what the mob becomes as it's known today as far as the five families are concerned.

You have to think that Margaret isn't going to last much longer now that Nucky knows she was fvcking Owen, especially now that she is pregnant.

Didn't his butler or whatever you want to call him say that Margaret and the kids were put on a train?

Im pretty sure Masseria is killed by a Sicilian faction of the mob and then Luciano killed that boss. But this show isnt following history anymore so who knows
