    Don't know what ever happened to mutual respect, seems like some fans are a little full of themselves and the ones that say Stoops is not a very good coach especially when he single handedly brought OU back to prominence from a situation like where BAMA was is retarded beyond belief.

    Yet Stoops is 2-0 vs Bama, and his losses to LSU and Florida both came in their backyard and were close games decided in the fourth quarter. Say what you want, but those games could have gone either way, they just happened to fall the SEC's way.

    Those were some great Bama teams he went 2-0 against.

    Was this supposed to be a flame? We were facing heavy sanctions and Fran knew as much. He though he had a better chance of success elsewhere. He was wrong. We ended up with Saban. I'm happy.

    Shonuff Dr. Snatch he is a very good coach none the less and I can tell you he honors his players 4 year schollies even if they get hurt and is not a liar or coward, he will not tell the fans and media he is staying and then sneak out of town over night! I will take an honest, steady coach with morals any day over the ones that sell their souls to win, he wins plenty without all the baggage.

    Got a lot of respect for BAMA and their tradition, went to the BAMA Taco Tech Cotton Bowl and enjoyed the game but I do not understand the disrespect for Stoops and I should ignore those uninformed opinions on him but I can't.

    Son you are very uninformed! Who does not have an agent in big time sports? Where have you seen him state he has his agent pimping his services to gain more money/contract extension? He has had the opportunity to leave several times for more money and has not, every year it is other teams including NFL types trying to hire him away, he does not go looking or interviewing for other jobs! What you do hear and it is the only thing you hear is him not confirming nor denying reports of other job offers and that is smart business not immoral! They come to him and that happens when you are successful so get your facts straight and stop all of the oral farting. Saban IMO is a great coach but I will never forget him leaving LSU for Miami and what happened when he left there for BAMA and I am confident it will happen again Stoops on the other hand will finish his career at OU.

    This is uninformed drivel, there is absolutely no evidence of it. In fact Stoops has come out multiple times saying he is not interested in these jobs, but the press keeps putting his name in the conversation. Also, he cannot control it when the schools contact his agent, which has been the case with every high profile job opening.

  • What should be said is that Stoops has never been fond of the press or press conferences, he has made it clear through his body language and candid responses that he feels nothing but disdain for the stupid questions that he gets asked on a day to day basis. This fact gets him portrayed as a dick, and nothing could be further from the truth. Stoops spends much of his time and money supporting charities and the community, and he runs his program in the same fashion. All you have to do is look at the stories regarding his support of Daniel Noble, Laith Harlow and just recently Daniel Brooks to see that Stoops does right by his players.
