  • A big portion of the tBB gaming contingent appears to be headed towards this game in a week and some change, so I figured I'd get this thread going.

    Who all here plans on getting it? If you're preordering from where? What system? What class are you looking at first?

    Gamestop's preorder includes the exclusive "Creature Slaughter Dome" and Amazon is offering a $10 credit. All preorders across the board give access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club which includes some free items to start off your game as well as access to the Mecromancer class when it becomes available post-launch.

    The gunzerker looks like a ton of fun -- my second choice would be the mecromancer but that one won't be ready at launch.

    Shooter-style RPG that doesn't take itself seriously. At it's best with co-op, upto four people.

  • Didn't play the first one, but got it at Gamestop because when trading in a bunch of games they gave me 50% more credit if I pre-ordered it and the 50% was more than the cost of the game, so I figured why not. Looks to be real fun.

    Yeah there were a few of us playing yesterday. The first one hasn't aged a bit. It is still a ton of fun.

    I will be playing as the Assassin and will be specializing in revolvers and sniper rifles. Sad that Mordecai isn't returning though. I will miss Bloodwing.

    A few of the guys who play Battlefield have started playing/replaying Borderlands as it was added to the PS+ instant library this week. Aussie, tuskstider, MarineMountie, myself.

    Yes, I very much despise NBC right now. If they ruin Community I am going to be furious. Which I am sure they will. Can't believe they are ruining G4.

    And yes the chat better be a lot better in Borderlands 2.

    Chat was really my main issue with it. Also, think we got one pearlescent weap the whole time we played and it blew. Having to Skype to talk with my friends while playing was definitely a pain the butt though.

    I never found a pearlescent weapon. They are super rare I guess. I have tons of gold weapons though.

    I never got to a high enough level to take him on. I always planned to come back and fight him but we never got back into it. I am only a 47. I figured Crawermax would a field day with me.

    Friend and I would do it over and over when we maxed out. One of us would turn him and the other would shoot. He had a tendency to glitch and if you could get in the right spot when he did you could mow him down. Then again if he didn't it was a straight up beat down.
